These extraordinary pictures are the first glimpse inside the squalid back garden compound where Jaycee Lee Dugard was kept captive for 18 years. A hand-painted 'Welcome' sign leads the way to a rundown world of tattered tents and outbuildings amid overgrown trees and bushes. The first words Jaycee said to her mother when the pair were tearfully reunited were: 'Hi Mom, I have babies,' it has emerged.

The 29-year-old's stepfather also claims that she had developed a powerful emotional bond with her abductor, Phillip Garrido.

What do you say about Jim Jones’ Christian Crusade? The fact is that some religious nuts do perceive themselves as Christians. To deny that such nuts actually exist is ridiculous or naive.

using words such as "minister" and "church" imply a form of Christianity. For example "Minister" used in reference to religion means:

1.a0. One who is authorized to perform religious functions in a Christian church, especially a Protestant church.
b). Roman Catholic Church The superior in certain orders.

And so it would appear that it's possible this Monster didn't father her two children. A DNA test should be done.

I was thinking the same thing...just didn't want to say it.

And we don't know for certain if these are the actual words the girl used, or if the media substituted these words for what she actually said.

She may have said the he told her he was a "leader" of a religious order he called God's Desire and indoctrinated her with self-published religious tracts.

Again, this is media leading the reader to think he was some kind of Christian, which clearly he isn't. "He saw himself as the head of a religious cult, which he based on self published doctrine". would have been the proper way to word it.

I thought the reporters were supposed to report, not interpret and analyze.

Are you saying that he did not claim to be a minister?

These are HIS words.

THIS FREEDOM HAS NOT COME ABOUT DUE TO SOMETHING GREAT ABOUT MYSELF, INSTEAD THIS ABILITY IS TO OPEN DOORS THAT WILL HONOR THE CREATOR AND HIS ETERNAL PURPOSE FOR MANKIND.

THIS ALL BEGAN BY GOD REMOVING A PROBLEM FROM MY SHOULDERS THAT BEHAVIORAL SCIENTIST BELIEVE IS NOT POSSIBLE TO REMOVE. SINCE THEN MY LIFE HAS SEEN MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS ALLOWING ME TO STAND HERE TODAY A FREE MAN.

THIS WITNESS IS TO GAIN THE ATTENTION OF UNBELIEVERS WORLD WIDE, INCLUDING SCIENTIST, PHYSICIST AND EDUCATORS. WHY? TO BEGIN A MAJOR WAKE UP CALL THAT ALLOWS THE REST OF THE WORLD TO TURN AND KNOW THAT HE EXISTS AND IS DESIRING THAT EVERYONE COME TO KNOW HIM.

THE CREATOR’S WORK IS ALL OVER THE WORLD AND BELONGS TO HIM ALONE, TO SPEAK FOR HIMSELF, AND NOT FOR ME, OR ANY ONE PERSON TO ACT AS THOUGH WE SPEAK FOR HIM.

CONTROVERSY IS NOT WELCOME FOR I CHALLENGE NO ONES PERSONAL BELIEFS CONCERNING GOD. THIS IS TO PROVIDE A WAKE UP CALL THAT WILL BEGIN SAVING LIVES AND OPEN THE NEXT CHAPTER OF DEVELOPING HIS PURPOSE. THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXAMINE HAS COME IN PEACE THROUGH SOUND REASONING TO MATURELY ADDRESS HIS WISDOM IN AN ORDERLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE MANNER.

(JEREMIAH 9:24)
“LET HIM WHO BOASTS BOAST ABOUT THIS: THAT HE UNDERSTANDS AND KNOWS ME, THAT I AM THE LORD, WHO EXERCISES KINDNESS, JUSTICE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS ON EARTH, FOR IN THESE I DELIGHT.”

a mentally sick, twisted, sexually perverted criminal let out of prison

The system fails us. Again. Don't expect the system to protect you. Not that it shouldn't, but it won't. Or maybe it can't. It's the government, after all.

California is planning to release 40,000 criminals from prison due to "overcrowding". Just what we need - 40,000 more criminals on the streets! Why don't they build more prisons???

This whack-job may have started a church but a lot of loons do that. You don't see any evidence of religion or Christian books or materials in any of the photos. Evidently he liked weed, LSD and coke which sounds more like that psychedelic mind expanding religion of the late 60’s.

The Daily Mail, a UK paper, is doing a thorough job on this story, far better than most US coverage..

I thought so too. It’s surprising that their press is much freer than hours in ways.

"A lot of perverts are religious nuts..."God tells them to..." murder, rape, whatever. "

But, that's NOT Christianity. Christianity is belief in Jesus Christ. When will the media ever get that???

"You don't think he is a religious nut?"

Yeah, a religious nut of some kind, but NOT a CHRISTIAN nut. You have to have a belief in Jesus Christ to be a Christian, and I doubt very much he believed in Jesus.

I don't know if he believes in Jesus but he does often quote the Christian Bible.

New Testament or Old? Big difference.

Yeah, screw the facts. His father said it was LSD that ruined his son's brain!

“I believe in the existence of what some call demons...”

You’re in good company, as Jesus believes in demons and called them that in the Bible. All Christians believe in demons.
