Once against, your friendly neighborhood freeper has survived the "Most Dangerous Night on Television." But this one was close. There I was, on FR, minding my own business and not stirring up any trouble with the Libertarians, or the pro-tort reform people, with NCIS on TV in the background.
Agent Tony and Agent Ziva had just gotten locked in a cargo container down at the docks, and I must have accidentally hit the "channel switch" button on the remote.
When I looked up, lo and behold, there was this navy destroyer, and this big shark came up and bit the whole dang destroyer in half. Half dazed (so what's new) I watched as the giant shark took a bite our of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Like, where was Agent Gibbs, and the black-haired Goth chick from the lab? Meanwhile, across the ocean, the Japanese were having fits with this Giant Octopus that weapons could not touch.
So it took me a few minutes to make the adjustment and figure out I was on the wrong channel. But this was such dreck I could not stop watching. I figure Tony and Ziva made it out of the cargo container.
Here's a trailer. Watch it. Pray that Nancy Pelosi was on the bridge.

I can think of only one of "the most dangerous night of television" movies that was actually worth watching and that was Gwyvern, everything else has been pretty much...Crap!
I will give the SciFi, er SyFy channel props on some of their series, though. Eureka is pretty good. Sanctuary is very good as is Warehouse 13. They aired the best show on TV in a long when they showed Battlestar Galactica. Then there is the upcoming BSG spinoff, Caprica.

Actually, the “destroyer” alternated between some cheesy SFX [even by SyFy standards] and stock footage of an IOWA class battleship, with more cheesy effects having the guns fire from the forward position on the forward turrets. And Lamas looked like he was auditioning for the role of Mr. Barnaby in Laurel and Hardy’s “March of the Wooden Soldiers”.
Despite the piscatory title, a turkey of epic proportions.

That movie is GTMO torture material.
Tried to watch it, thinking it might possibly have been a purposeful hoot. Alas, not with syfy. So much potential, but such low creativity hobbling on high-tech crutches.

Anyone who has ever watched SciFi (now Syfy???) knows B movies are alive and well. They have the dumbest, worst made-for-TV movies you can ever imagine.
