It sounds totally beyond belief. But read the tantalising evidence from this boy's family and you may start to wonder...
The agonised screams pierced the air. 'Plane on fire! Airplane crash.' In the dark, a two-year-old boy was just visible, writhing on his bed in the grip of horror. 'He was lying there on his back, kicking and clawing at the covers like he was trying to kick his way out of a coffin,' remembers the boy's father.
'I thought, this looks like The Exorcist. I half expected his head to spin around like that little girl in the movie. But then I heard what James was saying.'
Over and over again, the tiny child screamed: 'Plane on fire! Little man can't get out.'
For his shocked parents, these nightly scenes were traumatic.
For experts, they were baffling.
As the nightmares became more terrifying, the child started screaming the name of the 'little man' who couldn't get out of the plane. It was James - like his own name. He also talked in his dreams of 'Jack Larsen', 'Natoma' and 'Corsair'.
James Leininger's father, Bruce, was flummoxed. In a desperate attempt to find an answer to his son's troubled nights, he embarked on an obsessive three-year research project, armed only with the outbursts and names his son had been shouting in his disturbed sleep.
What he discovered astonished and perplexed him, and drove him to an extraordinary conclusion.
A lifelong Christian, it was not the answer he had sought for his son's behaviour. But he came to believe James was the reincarnation of a World War II fighter pilot; a man who had been shot down in his plane and struggled to escape as it caught fire; a hero.

“Yup. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment Heb. 9:27”
Thank you. This is the exact quote I always use to show that reincarnation does not happen.
One could argue there’s a lot of soulless people, witness the Mohammadan culture of death.
*ping* A subject I’ve brought up.
I feel sorry for the young man, growing up believing that he is not his own unique, divine soul created in the image of God, but a retread. You have one chance at this life, no matter what your parents tell you.
I knew a few people who were into past life regression none of them ever paid Quit Rent on Kings land in Glostershire as several in my family did or were boarder reavers as several others were.
If a blastocyst, which results after the fertilisation of the egg, is cleaved artificially, thus resulting in what would have been one individual, into two, three or more, when the individuals are allowed to develop fully, does that mean that the additional individuals created out of the originally single individual, have no souls? If they do, who put them there?
Or perhaps, there is no such thing as a soul.
You are right on. Of course, it is demonic. Years ago I read of a woman that had been reincarnated from a lady living in Ireland hundreds of years before. She had never been to Ireland but could describe the way the land was laid out and everything to the nth detail - everything.
As believers we know that spirit beings - both evil and good - do inhabit the universe. Since they have been around a very, very long time and are rather intelligent, anything they have seen they could easily transmit to another.
Why it happens and why, in particularly, to a young child, is the question to ask. My hunch is that this little lad’s mother was probably dabbling in some occult practices - whether fortune telling or what-have-you.
Poor little boy.
bttt
LOL.
Discovery channel had a show on a few years back (a long show) called “A Haunting in Georgia”
It was about a family, but mostly a young girl who reported various phenomena and visions.
Now they had all the standard brouhaha of bringing in a Priest, bringing in a psychic, bringing in a scientist from the local college with all his meters and thingys.
During the investigation, somebody who was attached to the case found out that an elderly gentleman had died in the house. He was able to find a photo.
So he mixed the photo in with nine other pics of old guys, and showed them all to the girl.
She, of course, picked out the correct pic at first glance!
The scientist fiddled with his meters. And blathered on and on about magnetic field anomalies and other stuff.
Then, at the very end of the show, they were interviewing him. He again went on with his electric - magnetic- sunspot rubbish and finally said one of the most stunning things I’ve ever heard coming from a scientist:
“We are forced to conclude that after a person dies, SOMETHING RESIDUAL REMAINS”...
Something.
Patterns?? Impressions?? Resonances?? Something.
Who knows. I’m not sure if science could ever figure it out.
Not by Christian Theology, every man has a soul, he either accepts God or he doesn’t. “I am the Truth and the Light.”
LOL yes. Most of my ancestors were not someone who would make a very glamorous past life.
Many years ago,,on a Saturday late afternoon I was cleaning out my closet on my hands and knees...I thought I heard someone and then felt a presence so strongly that I called
out to my husband and son thinking it was them in the hallway. Again felt so strongly that I got up and went into
the hallway looking around...they were two flights down and nowhere near me. Later that night I received a phone call
that my brother had been hit by a car at around that time...
I’m a Christian and beleive that he came to say goodbye..
Demons will always target the most psychologically and emotionally vulnerable person in a family - usually it is a highly emotional, pre-pubescent girl, if one is in the family.
If this story is true, it certainly appears to be demonic oppression and the family will have to get outside help to fix the problem.
All of mine were, I tell my friends that we were were the foot soldiers of history.
NDEs are a rich source for this subject.
Mathew 17:3
John 1:21
2nd Kings 2:15
From the parents standpoint, perhaps a preferable answer rather than the more unappealing choice of having a disturbed child.
