It sounds totally beyond belief. But read the tantalising evidence from this boy's family and you may start to wonder...
The agonised screams pierced the air. 'Plane on fire! Airplane crash.' In the dark, a two-year-old boy was just visible, writhing on his bed in the grip of horror. 'He was lying there on his back, kicking and clawing at the covers like he was trying to kick his way out of a coffin,' remembers the boy's father.
'I thought, this looks like The Exorcist. I half expected his head to spin around like that little girl in the movie. But then I heard what James was saying.'
Over and over again, the tiny child screamed: 'Plane on fire! Little man can't get out.'
For his shocked parents, these nightly scenes were traumatic.
For experts, they were baffling.
As the nightmares became more terrifying, the child started screaming the name of the 'little man' who couldn't get out of the plane. It was James - like his own name. He also talked in his dreams of 'Jack Larsen', 'Natoma' and 'Corsair'.
James Leininger's father, Bruce, was flummoxed. In a desperate attempt to find an answer to his son's troubled nights, he embarked on an obsessive three-year research project, armed only with the outbursts and names his son had been shouting in his disturbed sleep.
What he discovered astonished and perplexed him, and drove him to an extraordinary conclusion.
A lifelong Christian, it was not the answer he had sought for his son's behaviour. But he came to believe James was the reincarnation of a World War II fighter pilot; a man who had been shot down in his plane and struggled to escape as it caught fire; a hero.

Nonsense.
You are now attacking me for sharing my views and contesting yours? Hilarious!
Why don’t you just stick with the discussion? I have threatened your beliefs to such an extent that you now have to resort to open hostility. It’s a good sign, because it will get you thinking about all this, all the time, whether you like it or not.
This is how the truth spreads.
Heb 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.
No reincarnation. Can God choose to make an exception? Of course, but he won’t.
Perhaps you think of Lazarus, who was dead, but Jesus raised back to life, only to die again later on? This wasn’t reincarnation, coming back as someone else.
Has God done things outside the norm prove a point? Yes. The point wasn’t that everyone might get a second chance in a different life, the point was to illustrate God’s ability to do the impossible (ie what we can’t).
Also bear in mind God does allow demons to perform false ‘miracles’ within the scope of their limited powers.
If that did happen, God certainly allowed for it to occur.
I know a guy who has said that on more than one occasion he has seen the sould of people he was close to that had just died leaving through the hospital roofs up to heaven. On those occasions he had been on the way to the hospital to visit them and had seen a visual phenomena of a light orbish thing that made its way through the roof and went up into the night. (No not a helicopter, the hospital in question has no helipad or any air traffic around it.)
It is impossible for you to threaten my beliefs. It is often helpful to know where someone is coming from in a debate, and I’m sorry, but when you say that it is your job to help folks with their ignorance, you are saying that YOU are right. And that, my FRiend is arrogance. I have not attacked you, and if you believe that is an attack you are way too thin skinned for the internet.
Yeah?
After a scientologist died his non-scientology family was upset that they continued to send him mail.
The widow(?) sent them a letter very frostily explaining that he was dead, and would you please stop sending him mail?
She gets a letter back that they got that he’s dead, could you please send us his forwarding address...
Are you kidding? Wow...
Nope. Wow indeed.
Your primary goal in life is to make others think as you do?
Good luck with that, Old Spice.
You can try and convince yourself with that all you want, but the reason you changed tracks and began concentrating on my intentions, rather than the points I made, is because I struck a nerve - I hit at something in you that you desperately want to protect, but have been more-or-less helpless to defend.
I put you in places over here, where your current philosophy is incapable of wrestling itself out of.
I am not thin-skinned. I only stated that you are attacking me, instead of my arguments. I did not say that I have succumbed to your attack. It was a signal to indicate to you that your attempt at diversion has been detected, and will not be entertained - a signal for you to get back to the original argument.
Not think as I do, but just think. It will inevitably lead to thinking as I do.
Back to the argument now, shall we?
Your argument seems to be that there is no such thing as a soul.
Fine.
Believe what you want to.
Your current persuation cannot reconcile with the fact that there can be living entities that are not entirely of one species. The problem of whether such entities have souls or not challenges the roots of your beliefs.
Fine.
Keep this issue unaddressed.
Ya think?
Bio-genetics, or whatever you want to call it, is not my area of expertise. I have not spent any time examining my beliefs about human-horse hybrids. Is that OK with you?
Do clumps of cells (life) have souls? I do not know, although I doubt it.
Does anything?
:^)
We all have been reincarnated. And we are reincarnated moment to moment as well, each successive thought we have is a form of rebirth.
But I do not expect to make any mileage here with that truth! LOL.
Read “Tibetan Book of the Dead” ( Bardo Thodol).and you will see how it works.Actually reincarnation is not anti christian. Its just anti some christian Churches.
To every season there is a turning.....and so it is with the souls of men.
I guess it depends on how you define “soul”.
What does it mean, to love?
And a fatalist might argue that what happens is what was always meant to happen.
As I assume you are neither a fatalist or a theist, what is your argument?
Are they alive?
Go to post 99. I found your twin.
That’s pretty weird, as I had written almost the exact same thing years ago. I have to apologize for my presumptuousness. I had just arrived in Tokyo and could not sleep. I probably should not have responded, as I was all jet-lagged. Again, I apologize, I should have known no one would look into the past for response material.
