A person like Vicks is ‘damaged goods’.
A person who gets off on torturing, maiming and killing defenseless animals is not a person who get’s ‘cured’ this is a sick perversion that is a core part of who they are. This person reveled in his sadism, he had no shame, no regret and no remorse. This was not some hidden embarassment that he kept from view, this was a ‘showplace’ and a place of personal pride for this animal. He’s only regret is that he got caught.
Perhaps this team needs to recruit some rapists, child molesters and other degenerates - as long as they can run, kick and catch a football - because that tells me that the only thing this coach cares about is money.
What ever happened to ‘integrity’ and ‘being proud of your team’. If I were on the team, I would be looking to leave; you see, I am careful with whom I associate myself with. The people I associate with define ‘who I am’ and I have too much pride to associate myself with a degenerate sadist.

I've always been a dog lover, and have never been a Vick or Eagles fan, but the guy served the sentence that our government imposed on him. I hope his contrition is sincere and would like to think he uses his celebrity (or infamy, if you will) to talk to youth and his peers about the perils and idiocy of the gangsta' thug lifestyle. Will he? I have no way of knowing. I do know however, that without the forgiveness of our fellow man for past transgressions, we'd all be pariahs.
Let’s at least give him a second chance, he has served more time and lost more than a lot of murderers.
