Joan Jett has a black heart for a former bandmate.
The hard-rocking frontwoman is suing a bassist of her first band, the Runaways, for blocking a film about the all-girl hard-rock group.
Jacqueline Fuchs, a k a Jackie Fox, who played for the band from December 1975 to June 1977, claims to own a piece of its trademark and has gone out of her way to disrupt the biopic, titled "The Runaways."

Runaways had not organist.
“The film, which stars Dakota Fanning ...”
Christ.
Somebody get rid of this kid.
In 1976 I had a poster of The Runaways (from Circus Magazine) hanging on my wall.
Oh yes I did.
I cringe whenever I see the name Dakota Fanning, because there is something about her that makes Hollywood want to express its statutory rape fantasies. “She looks innocent. We *have* to have somebody in the movie molest her! It will be *dramatic*, and is *essential* to the plot development!”
No, it isn’t, you disgusting deviants.
Ick. Feh. Pervs.
No. According to IMDB, it's Michael Shannon.
Kristen Stewart ... Joan Jett
Dakota Fanning ... Cherie Currie
Scout Taylor-Compton ... Lita Ford
Stella Maeve ... Sandy West
Needs pictures!
It wasn’t that one, but it would have been a nice addition.
I had a thing for Cherie Curry.
If this movie is not made, it will decrease the odds of my seeing it by an almost infinitesimal amount.
Runaways had not organist.Neither did the Cramps. (For the uninitiated, imagine Ed Wood and Joe Bob Briggs in his drive-in critic years doing punk-type rockabilly, and that was the Cramps. Whose leader/singer/guiding force, Lux Interior, died recently, by the way . . .)
I always get The Slits and The Cramps mixed up.
What a happy gang.
It's the Ono syndrome.
Kind of makes you wonder why Jett thinks it's kosher to tell the Runaways' story without a "character based on" the former Jackie Fox, even granted that the latter left the Runaways after a tour of Japan (where they were actually phenomenally popular, compared to the mostly indifferent reception they got in their native U.S.) and eventually became an attorney.
Aaarrrrggh! My eyes! My eyes
I'm guessing Fuchs' post-Runaways career has not been quite as lucrative as Jett's.
One of the women who is portrayed is already dead. It’s easier to get people to sign on when they aren’t around.
I guess a Joan Jett and The Blackhearts movie wouldn’t have had the same appeal. But she still thinks it’s all about her.
