The sandwich consists of two fried chicken fillets wrapped around bacon, cheese and Colonel's sauce. It apparently tastes like you think it would. And given we're talking KFC, it's probably served at room temperature.

Sounds like a local creation to me. Most restaurants will make you a custom whatever, if they have the ingredients.
I know a guy who likes to custom order a "double-double" from Wendy's (imagine a Wendy's triple with one more patty + cheese).
So, the truth is likely "KFC will make a Bacon Sandwich...", rather than "...has a..."

Sounds good to me! Actually, I can’t stand KFC, but if I liked it, I’d like this; anything with bacon and cheese is OK.
There’s a place in CA that sells a burger wrapped in lettuce leaves. It’s pretty good, actually.

It probably contains at least 50 grams of protein, and not many more calories than the regular sandwich. It probably also tastes about 10 times better than the regular sandwich.
What will kill you in that concoction is the sodium.
