To serve as an interlude between the posting of the Big XII and SEC Previews, I thought now would be as good of a time as any to post something Notre Dame related. This recent article on Weis was one of the better recent ones I could find.

The worst thing that happened to ND football recently was not keeping George O’Leary. He may not of had the paperwork, but he is a heck of a football coach.
He was solid at Georgia Tech, and he has made UCF into a legit, competitive program.

After their disgraceful decision to honor Barack Hussion Obama earlier this year, I'm hoping Notre Dame never wins another athletic contest for the rest of its existence.
Not that it matters, anyway . . . that's got to be one of the most overrated college football teams in history.

Notre Dame’s defeat of Hawaii in last year’s Hawaii Bowl was a good start for the Irish.
Though the Hawaii Bowl was not a prominent game, a win is a win - especially when you’re essentially playing Hawaii on their home field. And Notre Dame looked very dynamic in that game. Admittedly, this wasn’t the same hawaii team of previous years but they were still good.
Now Weis no longer has to hear about how Notre Dame has lost their last nine bowl games.
The returning players can come back with good feeling about how last year ended and hopefully strive for better.

With their easiest schedule in my memory, Notre Dame needs to “show us” this year. They play one ranked team (USC) at home. They will be favored in every game (except SC). I will tolerate one other loss, but if they lose more than two games this season, time for a new coach.
