What's an altheist? Is it like a alchemist?

I used to be an altheist. Now I’m a probistant.

Well if you'd stop probing it all the time eventually a scab would form and then it would heal up.

If all the atheists left America, ideologically we’d be back to the principals of the Founding Fathers.

I could live with that.

I'd take my chances ... kinda like the Founders did ... seems to have worked fine for them.

Indeed most scientists are people of faith.

Atheists seem to be quite the bugaboo for being such a small percentage of the population. Moreover they are overrepresented in the Armed Services and underrepresented in the prison population, and tend to be well paid and well educated. Atheists are America's most despised religious minority, and yet they have not shown a proclivity to fly airplanes into buildings or behead those who disagree with them on theological or political matters.

I wouldn’t shed a tear if the professors, the entertainers and the “intellectuals” left. Why, it might be a good thing.

This thread is about "altheists" not atheists.

If alltheists left the country there wouldn't be many people left.

Well, there's enough of these terms in real life.

Oh, trust me. I googled both terms before posting. It's amazing how much research being snarky takes these days. I wouldn't want a radical branch of altheism declaring Jihad on me. I've seen enough interviews with Salman Rushdie to know he is a miserable man (brilliant author, though) and I wouldn't want to go into hiding with him.

They included Stephen Hawking, whose never been in the USA!

Never been in the USA? Where did you get that from?

Hawking spends a good amount of time in the USA. He's been a visiting professor at Caltech for 20 years, spending a month or two there each year. He also makes many appearances at other schools in the U.S. He's certainly been here.
