Vanity: Who is your Favorite Freeper?
self

Posted on 08/17/2009 6:10:52 PM PDT by Jean S

A thread with this title was posted about 10 years ago. The top choices were JohnHuang2 and kattracks (who sadly died of cancer a couple of years ago).

My current favorites are governsleastgovernsbest for posting his great commentaries from newsbusters here (this is NOT an ad). I also like RobinMasters, he finds great articles to post. Also, kudos to Cindy for her relentless research. And of course, Jim Robinson who makes this all possible.

This thread is dedicated to kattracks, a true friend of FR. May she rest in peace.

Jean, I did not see Vermonter listed.

Here’s the link—some oldtimers here will recognize many of the names:

LOL...I see MurryMom has been mentioned...there goes my “mom” theory on being “right.”

When I drive thru Murrysville, any heavily bumperstickered Prius makes me want to put down my window and ask, “MurryMom?”.

The whole midwest pinglist is good. Apparently we “get” each other.

Kattracks was a her? whodda thunk it??

Have not been around much because of an ongoing divorce saga, but if I was to throw a couple names in the hat, they would have to be Larry Lucido and Squantos... They always have something constructive to add to a conversation!

Wagglebee for keeping us moral and for being a wonderful friend!
Mad Dawg for his constant faith and ability to express it gracefully.
AZ Granny- although I know this is not the right name, she’s so full of amazing gardening and homestead info!

There are too many great freepers to list them all. You all keep me sane!! Thank you!

Thank you for even thinking of me TXBlair.

I've had a lot of experience in the role of bridesmaid. So if you have the need for a stand-up for this un-wedding let me know. I still have the dress if you should be thinking of a Slinky theme for the big day. It'll save big bux.

While I'm here, I'd like to mention a few posters who are dear to my heart:

Cagey ~ for being off-the-cuff-off-the-wall funny; and knowing what wine to order with poisson

BluesDuke ~ for his brilliant repository of baseball, musical and funky old appliance knowledge and appreciation; and his adherence to the core values that make us Americans; You can listen to BluesDuke tonight 12PM PST

Goat granny ~ for genuine kindnesses and patriotism

Slings and Arrows ~ for his love of critters and unique ability to have an authentic pulse on pop culture

LucyT ~ for her love of God's creatures and their well-being

SheLion had strong opinions and never backed down, good for her. May she rest in peace.

Oh no...I didn't know.

I would read her posts and smell the tobacco smoke.

Reminded me of my own Mom.

Too many wonderful freepers to pick just one. It’s like asking which one of your kids do you love the most.
Who do I miss the most?

Howlin

When I made the jump from lurker to freeper so many years ago, she was my role model. Opinionated? Damned straight. But she always backed up what she said and she never backed away from expressing her opinion.

[Sometimes I find myself asking WWHD? What would Howlin do?]

JustAmy and all the wonderful folks on those threads,
The Mayor
MeekOneGOP

Darksheare (who has my favorite cool freeper name)

BobJ and annaz(?) and seeking the truth, for putting together the FReeper Mug design contest/giveaway (which I won neener neener) and I still use my mug nearly every day.

my goodness I forgot the name of the freeper who started the greatest taglines threads shortly after we could have taglines.

there are so many on here whose posts I enjoy, people I respect, whose opinions I always read. too numerous to mention.
LS and Jeff Head come to mind and
DougfromUpland, John Huang2, TrueBlackman all exceptional people
rdb3 with an awesome homepage
PJ-Comix funnie funnie man!

Jim Thompson, who defies description.

John Robinson for keeping it all glued together,

and all the other FReepers new and old who make FR what it is, which is just about the best, fastest, fun and interesting news and activism site on Teh Intarwebs!

FR Rocks!!

I joined a few months before the 9 11 attacks and never got to read Barbara Olsen here on FR. We lost a true spirit that fateful day.
