I'm sittin here with not much to do and figured this could be an interesting thread for those on FR that ride bikes and could share some info on bikes, maintenance, how to pack for that long road trip, horror stories (near misses). Maybe find some local FRiends to go ride with etc. etc.

That’s my kinda bike. I’ve got an ‘87 Softail. Mine’s burgundy. It’s got 2 to 1 Hooker pipes, so she’ll pull tight corners and grades in the Sierras.

Yamaha FZ1, 1000ccs of pure feral white knuckle grip, with a riding position that lets a guy go fast all day long.

And the BMW R1150GS,shown here at Dawson City, Yukon, a day’s ride from the Gnomestead.

Here's one of me when about seven years ago. I had a Yamaha 125L and a street bike that I was learning to drive on. I really haven't rode lately cause of college and a bad year in high school, but I have been going to some of the motorcycle events lately with my dad.
