1997 YZF1000R, precursor to the R1, made only two years, and only brought to the US for one. It is an excellent GT sport bike with more than enough power yet still somewhat comfy to ride!

I'm sittin here with not much to do and figured this could be an interesting thread for those on FR that ride bikes and could share some info on bikes, maintenance, how to pack for that long road trip, horror stories (near misses). Maybe find some local FRiends to go ride with etc. etc.
