A Florida citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of dealership. Taking off down the road, he pushed it to 80 mph enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.

"Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-75, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a State Trooper behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring.

He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing?" and he pulled over to await the Trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the Trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The elderly gentleman paused briefly, and said, "Three years ago, my wife ran off with a Florida State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."

“You have a good day, sir," replied the Trooper and walked back to his car.

Tomorrow is Furlough Friday, wherein I get to catch up on the work (powerpoint) I didn't get to this week. Plus another medical test (just a test, we're establishing current conditions and baselines, nothing more) and after that I dunno.

I may join the Women's Fridays Crafts session (by invitation -- it's a social event) maybe in lieu of the Men's Saturday Breakfast (with luck and a response from him in time we'll drive down to Portland OR to meet my fellow Anglican Ping List pinger, Huber, in person).

Better than that! I had a session with a dietitian this afternoon at doctor's recommendation. Nothing earth-shattering; I was already moving in the "right" direction but got some extra education AND ideas for alternatives for things that aren't working anymore.

Plus info that could help me go more vegetarian in diet, not that I want to go there at all but sometimes I just cannot take meat any more. It is very strange...
