I’m not old enough to have a kid who’s 45, either!
Email from Anoreth earlier, she says she’s receiving USMail at the address the other girl gave us. We got her training company picture; she’ll let me know if she wants me to send it to her.
DP picked up my reserve books at the library after work - I’ve got “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” finally! When Tom gets back from running, we’re going to the Town Hall to get a map of Indian Trail for his “Citizenship in the Community” badge.

Kewl!
I’ve been kinda busy the last almost-week...got all the stuff off the patio, did some cleaning and rearranging, some laundry, more cleaning and reorganizing, and have neglected my grandson.
So I’m going to sit down here in a bit and get a letter off to him. The printer is out of ink, so I have to actually go to the post office. *sigh*
The bracelets will go out tomorrow. I hope they fit!

I’m sure they will. We’re of fairly ordinary size.
The Town Hall didn’t have a map, but they gave us a number to call of someone who should have one. And Tom’s going to call the VFW to see if he can do something for them for his 8 hours of community service for the badge.

Tom could always check with the Senior Centers to see if he could assist there. Sometimes, kids are just what the doctors ordered.

Good idea, if the VFW doesn’t have anything for him. There’s a rehab center right up the road. He could read or play games.
I’m going to get Anoreth a book on playing poker and another on card tricks, before she goes on her next ocean voyage. She’ll lose her socks if she tries playing poker without some instruction; in the past, she’s only played for pretzels with the church youth.
It’s too bad my dad can’t teach her to play. He was a good, cautious, straight-faced poker player, back in his day. He taught me to “play to NOT lose” before I went to college.

You know it’s going to be a really wonderful day when it starts off with a root canal.

Of course! How could it get worse?
BUSY day here. Took until almost 3 to get to what I wanted to get to this morning. Oh well. Am home (alone) for the evening, and tomorrow a high mucky-muck comes visiting.

Well, it could get worse if toward the end of the procedure the Dentist says, “Hey, what’s that?”

It wasn’t too bad, and indeed, the rest of the day was better.

Well, that's good.
Looks like I might be headed to your corner of the country late next month. ("Might" means I have submitted the travel request, but haven't sent my boss the justification and won't until tomorrow's visit by the higher-up is over.) It could be quick though -- in on Wednesday, workshop on Thursday and fly home Thursday night or Friday morning. If the latter, I will probably stay at the BWI airport hotel Thursday night, not all that far from Timbuktu.

If you eat a bullfrog first thing in the morning, nothing worse can happen the rest of the day...
