Your body is trying to heal itself, so it slapped you into sleep!!

I hope you’re feeling better!

We’ll be leaving in about an hour. The dog’s bed-covers are in the dryer!

I know. I ran out of Motrin and Pyroxicam four days ago, and thought I was going to break into pieces at every joint when I moved.

The weather had a lot to do with that, for sure!

Take things easy. Rest. Read. Fall asleep! Everything that has to be done can wait...

Actually, looking at setting up an SD card with CHDK for the youngest sionnsareen’s Canon camera. CHDK is firmware that really extends the camera’s capabilities; I have it on my Canon - it allows me to take picture in RAW mode, which is rather like keeping the original negative. That capability has saved me a few times when I mistakenly misconfigured the shooting scene (flash instead of incandescent lighting) and the resulting pictures were horribly miscolored.

As long as you recognize the fact that you HAVE been sick. Rest when you get tired, or start to make mistakes...

Ah has spoke!

Take advantage of the time, even though you “feel better.” You’ve been sick a lot the last year, which means your body is trying to say something to you. Listen to it! And just because you feel well, you don’t have to give up cinnamon!! Your body loves the stuff!

Just back from an outing. LoM wanted to go out for breakfast, to celebrate her new paycheck, but things went well into the afternoon before we got it. So I took her many miles west to an Olive Garden. Then she took me by an energy-efficient (”green”) house she’d seen — outside of the solar panels it looked like everything else around, through the views to the mountains was stunning. Now home again.

Today was a “chore day” for me as well. I got my new old truck serviced so that I would have at least one reliable vehicle.

New starter, plugs and wires, fuel filter and replacing a broken link.

After ten years, it needed it. If that’s all it needs for another ten years, it will be doing as well as my old old truck.

The only “shore” here was getting the youngest sionnsareen’s camera set up to take RAW pictures. Should have taken only a few minutes, but noo....

Other than size how dose a SD memory chip change if you can take RAW pictures?

If you google Canon CHDK you'll see the details. It seems Canon's point&shoot cameras have a software hook that lets them run firmware on the SD card under a certain set of conditions. This was done for purposes of upgrading the camera firmware, I believe.

CHDK is set up to create those conditions and use them for other purposes which include, but are not limited to, shooting RAW. There are a ton of features you can enable in DHCK, including an active histogram (I use this a lot!), calibrated battery meter, games (don't use these), document reader, an extremely fast flash-induced shutter, good for taking lightning shots, and much, much more.

I've been using this for a couple of years now, switched on if I'm doing anything relatively serious. I would hate to be without it -- with DHCK the camera is superior to my (broken) Nikon dSLR in almost everything but optics. The youngest sionnsareen's camera wasn't supported when she received it as a gift, but it is now.

If you have a Canon point-and-shoot (NOT a dSLR) that is supported by DHCK and you know the difference between pictures and snapshots, I really recommend it.

It’s actually not size-related. The youngest sionnsareen is using a 4 GB SD card, but I couldn’t change that one because she has a LOT of photos (JPEGs) on it. I took one of my spare 128 MB cards (originally used in my now-retired PDA) and put this on it.
