And the bride wore white - long, curly white strands of wool.
Louise Fairburn, who is an award-winning sheep breeder, decided to get married in a fleece from her own flock.
She designed the gown and took wool from her favourite rare Lincoln Longwool, Olivia.
And she extended the theme to the rest of her big day, putting her groom Ian, 42, in a waistcoat made from wool.
Mrs Fairburn even carried a Bo Peep-style crook and the ring bearer's cushion was made from a fleece....

My understanding is that people who have dreads just shampoo and rinse them, massaging the suds into the scalp between the clumps and rinsing it all, every few days.

Darks used to date her.
It didn’t work out. Something about a staple-gun...

I would have made the skirt sort of flow out of the top rather than have a definite line. I do like the originality of the dress and think the idea a good one and the wool beautiful.

Stunning? Yes. I was stunned.
Raggy-looking clothing does not appeal to me at all. MO would love it, though. She always looks like a pile of rags.

Yeah but what does this say about the groom? Just asking... Unsubstantiated reports indicate the groom was previously arrested on questionable charges. When the police found him, it was reported he said, "But officer, I was just helping the sheep over the fence." Film at 11...

I did design and sew my own - I still have the original sketch I did on an office steno pad.

I agree
What a lovely original dress.
And a handsome couple, too.
I wish them all the best!

He’s one of the few guys who can say they pulled the wool over his wife’s eyes after the reception was over with a completely different meaning than most.

I love the dress and love the pictures. Thanks.

I think it’s very cute and original, but I’d never do it - wool is too hot and itchy for me to tolerate for long!

What scares me is the dumb knock-offs to follow. This is a one-of-a-kind for a shepherdess. But maybe it will catch on in sheep country -- Ireland, Scotland, Australia. I'd hate to see it badly done.
