I think the libs should throw themselves into volcanoes to mollify Gaia - that should do the trick, I reckon.

I think a better idea is to move the planet into an orbital pattern further away from the sun. Seriously, what could possibly go wrong?

‘Think-tanks’ that believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming.
They might as well worship Mothra.

Just how stupid are these "experts"? Not so stupid that they haven't applied for and been awarded millions in government grants.

All through my childhood, I was taught that the planet Venus was unbearably hot due to the greenhouse effect. You see, the dense cloud cover on Venus allows sunlight to penetrate to the surface, but would not allow the resulting heat to dissipate. So the planet just got hotter and hotter.
But now we think that dense cloud cover on Earth will protect us from solar heat, thereby cancelling out the greenhouse effect?
You can't be this dumb without tryin'

They are not stupid, they think we are. These ideas are meant to separate us from our money. No doubt they already have grant money, they just need more.

I don’t know but what really scares me is that it seems that the powers that be think they are brilliant.
Little men trying to play God with no idea of the consequences is terrifying to me.

And everyone laughed at my suggestion to put huge chunks of tinfoil in orbit to reflect solar energy. These guys are making me look saner and saner.

Is there no end to the boondoggles the global-warming fatalists will finance to indulge their fantasy?

This story reads as if it were published by "The Onion", only it wasn't.
