I just wrote a letter to AARP informing them that I will be soon turning 50 years of age and they should not send me any material. I told them that they need to conserve their funds because I believe they will experience a drastic drop in membership! Address of AARP: AARP 601 E Street N.W. Washington, DC 20049
Good Job.
Talked to my uncle today and he and his wife will be cutting up there cards and mailing them back. I suggested he call to cancel as well and request his membership fee’s back.
My hubby recently turned 50 and they’ve been hounding us will mailings. I cut the temp card in half and wrote on the statement that they should no longer contact us due to their being an arm of the DNC. I put it back in their prepaid envelope and will send it out tomorrow.
I called two days ago. Google AARP HQ and you will get a number. I talked to a staffer; gave her my advise on what the head of AARP can do with our membershp in graphic terms. I then demanded a refund which I will be getting.
Tell everyone that they can get their money back by calling and demanding it!!!

....My hubby recently turned 50 and theyve been hounding us will mailings....
They stopped hounding me PRONTO when I called them. They send a mailing every time I change addresses.
Seniors/disabled on Medicare are REQUIRED to choose a PRIVATE INSURANCE COMPANY to provide their Part D prescription plan and may OPT to have the PRIVATE company provide their health coverage...why? because the PRIVATE company can provide it CHEAPER!!!
Ohio Medicaid recipients are REQUIRED to choose a PRIVATE INSURANCE COMPANY to provide their healthcare.
and we are suppose to believe the government can handle administrating a supposedly “cheaper” single payer plan/public option for the entire nation?
They are welcome to waste all the money they want sending me their stuff. I would never consider saving them a dime by requesting they remove my name form mailing list.
They send a mailing every time I change addresses.
There’s a solution to their mailing, send it back, (return to sender). After doing this a couple of times they stopped mailing.
can you or anyone give me the government website asking people to report on others who oppose health care reform. I want to report myself!
I called the AARP and cancelled my membership; and they returned the balance of it — ten dollars and some change!
They’ve always been good little socialists. Raking in the membership dues and donating money to all the liberal Democrats. And stupid elderly people think that it’s OK because they can save a few bucks through AARP, and all they have to do is look the other way and pretend they don’t know about all the destructive stuff that AARP supports.
Now AARP’s bill has finally come due. Time to pay for your sins.
AARP is holding “listening”, open to the public events in some states across the nation. ATTEND and HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE for supporting Obamacare!!! Plug in your state:

I just called AARP and cancelled my membership. The young man was a little snarky because I didn’t provide the correct membership number at first. Then he did an about face when I put him in his place, politely but firmly.
He attempted to tell me that AARP had not endorsed any health care reform. I replied that it certainly looked to me that they did especially from what I’d read on the net and heard at Obama’s Town Hall AARP meeting. Moreover, I stated that I didn’t appreciate how seniors were treated in the video posted at BritBart by AARP reps.
My impression after the call is that they have been getting an earful from AARP members.
I just sent them back their prepaid return envelope...empty.
Which is what I’ll be doing with all their correspondence. Normally I hate junk mail, but I’ll have a smile on my face for the rest of my life each time they send me theirs.
That would be a hoot!
This happened 2 days ago..I found out accidentally that my wife joined AARP 3 years ago. She denied joining so I called the place and gave them the information on the magazine label and found out.... yep .... she was a member. I immediately did a cancellation . The telephone person asked “ if I may why are you canceling ? I informed her that MY values were not the same as a LEFT WING RADICAL SOCIALIST/MARXIST ORGANIZATION... I thought the womans’ head was going to spin off....I said I did not believe that scaring old people by telling them that their medicare was going to be done away with was the decent and right thing to do.. She immediately started talking about “Euthanasia” not being true.. I countered with “ I didn’t say anything about euthanasia. I am talking about the marxists and communists that are running your organization... She finally gave up and did the removal of my wifes’ name on the membership list.. I thanked her for being so helpful and hung up...
Which is what Ill be doing with all their correspondence. Normally I hate junk mail, but Ill have a smile on my face for the rest of my life each time they send me theirs.
I never joined and have let them spend a fortune sending me their endless solicitations. I prided myself on letting them waste their funds.
Thanks for the tip of sending back the empty envelope. I hadn't thought of making them pay for that too.
