I dont think our US currency should be defaced in any way. Its just wrong & you could be arrested if caught or maybe even snitched on.I don't think it's defacing a coin to place a removable sticker on it...of course, I've been wrong before.

The coins will be rejected from vending machines as well as coin counters. If placed on bills they will be rejected by the self serve check out cash machine.........
Cash tellers may or may not accept them depending on their moods.......is it worth an argument?

I'm thinking of a Billboard out here in Las Vegas, which is where I live now and is a different kind of sand than that of Florida!
I would love to see this as a billboard here in Las Vegas.

Fail stuff here

yes it *is* defacing US currency....until the sticker is removed. There are better ways to get the 0 commie message out, w/o doing something illegal. Ask a cop. I’ll bet he could arrest you for it.

Welcome to FreeRepublic.
It took me a year before I posted my first thread.
It took you less than a day. And it’s a vanity.
I guess times have changed. (I’m gettin’ old)

So you are saying that the stickers cannot be easily removed?
No, I have no idea whether they can be removed easily or not. How many products have you ever purchased that had stickers on them which were a breeze to remove? Just saying that if you put them on your coins, they ain't going into vending machines or coin counters. If you put them on your bills, they aint going thru bill machines.
And if I'm a teller in a retail chain store and you hand me a bill with a sticker on it, depending on my employer's policy, I may not be allowed to accept it because it will ultimately be rejected by my store's currency counter.....
Go ahead, buy the stickers, put them on car windows or bumpers, storefront doors, merchandise displays, or anywhere you want........if you want to put them on your coins and currency then by all means do so........

I’m not sure, but I think that law was done away with some years ago. Had something to do with people using coins for jewelry and drilling holes in them or using a saw to cut out certain portions. I could be wrong, I usually am!
