Lawyer claims to have Obama’s genuine birth certificate

California attorney Orly Taitz filed a motion last Friday in the United States District Court, for the Central District of California, requesting authentification of a document purporting to be a copy of the original Kenyan birth certificate of Barack Hussein Obama, II, who was born at Mombassa’s Coast General Hospital on August 4, 1961.

The alleged certificate bears the signature of the deputy registrar of Coast Province, Joshua Simon Oduya, and was issued as a certified copy of the original in February 1964.

Taitz's motion, filed on behalf of the 44 plaintiffs in a federal lawsuit against President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clintion, and others, requests the purported evidence of Obama's birth – both the alleged birth certificate and foreign records not yet obtained – be preserved from destruction, asks for permission to legally request documents from Kenya and seeks a subpoena for deposition from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The lawsuit, claiming that Obama is not a “natural born citizen of the United States,” is challenging his constitutional eligibility to serve in the office of president. Plaintiffs include a number of military personnel, along with representatives Glenn Casada of Tennessee, Timothy Comerford of New Hampshire, Cynthia Davis of Missouri, Casey Guernsey of Missouri, Frank Niceley of Tennessee, Larry Rappaport of New Hampshire, Eric Swafford of Tennessee, former U.N. Ambassador Alan Keys, and former U.S. Senator Jerry O’Neil of Montana.

Biden would temporarily become President until one is found to be eligible. Hopefully, the entire Democrat ticket would be disqualified and McCain/Palin would be awarded their deserving victory. The Electoral College may only have McCain/Palin to vote on.

I rarely weigh in on much of this, but I think it could be a setup to discredit and put an end to all legitimate questions. I'm not convinced it's genuine for numerous reasons.

If this is proven to be a forgery, which I suspect it is, well that won't be pretty either.

I can think of a number of people and organizations that could be behind this.

Personally, I think we are barking up the wrong tree with this one. I'll wait and see how it shakes out.

I don’t think so. The best we can hope for is that POTUS Obama will become citizen Obama. That would leave VP Biden and POTUS and he could then pick a new VP. It would most certainly be SecState Clinton.

If it's associated with the divorce, perhaps. But for everything that is trotted out, it just raises more questions.

We'll see.

Maybe we won't. I think the American people deserve to know the truth, the ones who care about the truth for its own sake. Some of them don't deserve to know anything because they obviously don't care and don't want to look at any of it. I'd like to think if it were one of ours, we would be open to possibilities that might not be to our liking.

People all over are worried about it. US Military Officers are filing suite for him to prove his (Obama's) bonafides.

This is a simple thing to put to rest. I have a passport and a birth certificate. I can produce them at my house in a matter of minutes. I have not spent a million dollars to either acquire them...or to hide them.

This is not a unreasonable thing to ask for since being a "natural born citizen" of the US is a constitutional requirement for the job of President. It's not hateful, and it's not racist.

Proving that you are should be an honor.

Yet Obama cannot and will not produce either. Why?

The following birth certificate pupports to be from Kenya, and to be Obama's. It's getting a lot of press. Though there are a number of problems with it that indicate it is probably not authenticate, yet it looks a whole lot more authenticate than the elctronic COLB Obama made available on his web site.

The point is, this supposed document is out there and is being analyzed to death and will ultimately be certified one way or the other by experts. Obama's long form birth certificate is not...it is getting no such review. The longer it is absent, the more insistent the demands for it will become. Obama cannot hide from meeting the constitutional qualification.

We need to keep the heat on for seeing Obama’s original long form birth certificate. When someone hides something, they have something to hide.

There are other matters that are being glossed over in the frenzy to get a long form BC. At this point, I wouldn't know if it were legit or a forgery if one were forthcoming. And I wouldn't know whose word to take for it, just whose I wouldn't.

The longer this percolates, the less I believe any on either side of it and have neither the time nor the means to do my own investigation. I'm tired of he says she says.

I'm not surprised. Obfuscate and stonewall. That's the name of the game.
