Willful MINORITIES move history. Once we stop waiting for the "sheeple" to wake up, and take matters into our own hands, THEN we will be making progress. Speaking out at the town halls (birther quacks aside) is a good start.
When we see polls out there that say 49% believe America’s best days are in the past, seems to me the emphasis has shifted away from keeping the country strong. It’s now a “screw everything else, I want free stuff and President/Sen/Rep. (insert name of liberal/RINO here) is gonna give it to me” mindset.
Most younger Americans, under 40 or so, have no clue what Communism is, or about Hitlers rise to power, or the Cold war. They have grown up watching dumb sitcoms on TV, playing video games or extreme sports. And they were educated in school systems that are liberal breeding grounds, and being taught nothing about true history, only white-washed PC history that mis-construes the truth. They do not read the news, or surf the net for info or have any clue what is going on around them, as America collapses. I know there are exceptions, but most are clueless.
I suspect also, that if all FReepers had their ages posted on their profile page, most would be over 50. That also is a shame, that more younger people are not politically inquisitive or active. Again, there are exceptions to this statement.
