I am 69 years old, when/if someone shows up to discuss end of life issues with me I am going to tell them to “F” OFF. My great aunt lived to be 115 3/4 and I just might decide to do the same!

I agree. And even half the country believed that, we wouldn't be in the fix we're in.
I bet they have a hard time finding anyone to volunteer for the job of end-of-life counselor.
If an End-Of-Life Counselor shows up on my door, I will be glad to show him how important it would be for society, if only he WOULD end his life.
All the same counseling or no, I imagine there will come a time when I have DNR tattooed on my chest by my own choice.
Tell them to get off your property or YOU will END their life !

Isn't it wonderous to see how much Obama and the democratically controled congress that are trying to shove this abomination down our throats (while they maintain their own private "Lexus Healthcare" for themselves and their extended families) "love" us and how "concerned" they are about our physical welfare?
All over France bed-ridden old folks are being trundled
into stuffy attics so their children can go on vacation.

I agree. I don’t know anyone tht would be the least bit civil to one of these people. It’s probably going to be one of the worst civil service jobs available.
I’m a senior. Hell - the counseling’s gonna be FREE ain’t it? One session every five years? I DEMAND counseling twice a month!! I paid in all those years! I got my rights!! It’s FREE, dammit! I want all I can get!
It’ll probably result in a huge black-market medical industry.
They will convince people that it is selfish for them to take up resources that are precious and scarce.
Of course, with the Obamists in charge, a lot of things are going to become scarce, so there is some logic to this.
And the kind of people who vote for Obamists don’t much believe in life, and weren’t going to do anything anyway.
Seriously, this is where we wind up when a preponderance of people think that life is a cost rather than an ultimate value, that government is a source rather than a means to an end. That the living represent a load on the system rather than the purpose of the system.
I’ve often said that the interesting arguments are all on the conservative side, and its true, we don’t all agree on exactly how to skin which cats. But we share a respect for certain eternal principles, which means that however crazy some of us may be we share at the heart some common truths.
But when you are arguing with the Obamists you are dealing with a soul-sickness that makes discussion all but impossible. The problem here can’t be solved with politics because it goes so much deeper than politics. We have to defeat them and we need to evangelize them. You can’t share power with someone who doesn’t believe in life and doesn’t believe in liberty in the first place.

In other words, in the interest of trying to make medical care more widely accessible, we are going to make it less available, and we are going to shift the advantage even more toward the moneyed class. Money and connections always gets you better treatment, and under Obamacare this will be even more true than it is now. This is something people don't get; central control always begets oligarchy. More central control begets more oligarchy.
Like now, only worse.
