SUPER BOWL XLIV
NY Giants (N) over New England (A)
Detroit Lions 5-11? Woooo hooooo! That’s a step up from 0-16.
No Browns in the playoffs, agreed. But the Fins have a damn good shot at getting back in. I’ve got them going 11-5 and winning the division, just like last year. Patriots 10-6, Jets 7-9, Bills 6-10.
My Pittsburgh born and raised wife would like to have a “word” with you.
Good. Let’s hope the AFC championship is better than last year. Watching the Steelers and Ravens is like choosing between vinegar or prune juice.
Bears play Redskins to a tie in Superbowl, as instructed by the new Entertainment Czar, and NFL will gain permission to stay in business for at least one more year. And don’t tell me two teams out of the N Conference can’t get to the Superbowl. A rule or two can be stretched if it’s important enough.
Dallas will be much improved if they can keep they players out of jail.
Agreed. That game was painful, just because I’m so tired of hearing about the “Steelers-Ravens rivalry.” Zzzzz.
I like the Chargers and the Titans in the AFC Championship.
Their rivalry with the Browns is 50 years longer. The last Browns game I attended was a home win over the Steelers, last time they’ve done that in Cleveland.
I think Arizona makes the playoffs again.
So do the Packers, Lions, and Vikings....
To be fair, lately Steelers-Browns hasn’t really been a rivalry so much as a one-sided ass-kicking. And I don’t think the Mangina will be turning things around in the Land of Cleves. Shame Lerner didn’t stick to his word about hiring a GM before hiring a coach; he could have paid Pioli whatever he wanted and then gotten Haley as HC. I’d like the Browns much more this year if that were the case.
Well, as a 21-year fan of the Browns, I’ve never given up. But I’m just going to be realistic and go with Mad Dawgg’s prediction of 8-8.
Won’t matter if they go 16-0. The Romosexual will never win a playoff game. Ever.
8-8 is certainly possible if the ball bounces your way in a couple of games. I’m thinking more in the 6-10, 7-9 range.
oh gee thanks
Well, I can’t figure out where the 8 wins would come from. Here’s how I look at your schedule:
W1 Minnesota, loss
W2 @ Denver, loss (Denver is a better team than they’re being given credit for, plus it’s a road game for you)
W3 @ Baltimore, loss
W4 Cincinnati, win
W5 @ Buffalo, loss
W6 @ Pittsburgh, loss
W7 Green Bay, loss
W8 @ Chicago, win
W9 bye
W10 Baltimore, win
W11 @ Detroit, win
W12 @ Cincinnati, loss
W13 San Diego, loss
W14 Pittsburgh, surprise win
W15 @ Kansas City, loss
W16 Oakland, win
W17 Jacksonville, win
7-9.
As a Big Bluer, I concur.
Here’s a great Giant forum.........http://www.bigblueinteractive.com/.......lots of libs there but the info is great....check it out.
For some reason I think this is San Diego’s year.
