Here's Joe interviewing Jack Anderson about allegations of corruption by Senator Thomas Dodd (Christopher Dodd's father)

Here's the first of a five-part interview between Pyne and a self-named "Vietnam War Resister". (rest available from the same youtube account).

Here's some of Pyne's 'lighter' stuff. Joe let assorted moonbats in the audience come up and 'beef' about..well, whatever was in their crazy little noggins. Funny how moonbats have always been, well, moonbats:

Go gargle with razor blades.
I remember old Joe even tried his hand as a game show host. “Showdown” I think was the name.

PS to mods: This is my first post in “chat” so feel free to modify/move my post if I goofed something up.
Joe Pyne’s manner of speaking, and voice, sure sounds like Dan Rather doesn’t he? Looks like a young Dan Rather too.
I remember Joe Pyne in the 60s, Marv Grey, Bob Dornan,
and several others
I remember his TV show. I did not know his radio show.
I remember the left wing hysteria accusing the emerging modern conservative movement of causing Oswald to assassinate JFK because of our criticism.
I believe Pyne was forced off the air in many of his cities. I remember Grant saying that he took over when Pyne was forced off WOR.
I like both Savage and Levin -- but I cannot but marvel how they complain of others stealing their stuff. To me it sounds like both men stole Joe Pyne's stuff!
Thanks again.
I listened to Joe Pyne some in the 1960s as a kid, but lived in a small town and the reception was weak, in and out so it was difficult to follow it all. Don’t remember what station, but, it was fairly distant and weak.
I know YOU know this, DemforBush, but for those who do not know, Joe Pyne was one of the forerunners of the genre, and an inspiration for one of the greats of Conservative talk, Bob Grant.
Grant, Pyne, and Long John Nebel were all on WOR...I think only Bob Grant survived (literally?) past the "unfairness schlocktrine" days, and became THE biggest talker in the movement in the early to late 80s, and went strong up until last year.

I mainly recall his logo:
Other pioneers were Fulton Lewis, Jr., and Paul Harvey...
I was going to write that I thought Bob Grant was considered the father of confrontational talk radio. I wikied them, and discovered that Grant (ne Gigante) actually took over for Pyne in 1964.
