A Freeper just this week asked me if books or articles are coming out on this hot issue here in Japan (i.e., the issue of Mr. Obama's alleged Hawaiian birth).
I replied "no", not to my knowledge--although other critical works are emerging.
Then THIS:
オバマの仮面を剥ぐ 「チェンジ」は口先だけ、ウォール街の代理人はなにを企んでいるのか
My Translation: "STRIPPING THE MASK OFF OBAMA / "CHANGE" IS JUST LIP SERVICE; WHAT IS THE TOOL OF WALL STREET PLANNING?" written by Kazuyuki Hamada (Published by Kodansha Press) (English Book Title: "Find Out Who Is Obama")
From what I can see, this author has written at least 19 other books on topical issues.
The 7-Eleven Japan online book order form and review of this work (YES, you can order books from 7-Eleven online here in Japan) is STUNNING, not to mention the graphics and title on the cover of the book:
(My rushed translation:
"Barack Obama. The President who appealed for "Change". So now, in retrospect, has he become the big reformer that America and even the World had sought? But all that is apparant now that his "First 100 Days" are over is that he has done nothing for the American People. It looks like he has created a sea of American National Debt that on the surface was to forestall a great depression, this was to be only a bailout for Wall Street and no bailout at all for the American People. This is the fellow who during the campaign took massive sums from Wall Street, and has only gone on to throw around the American People's tax monies, a man with nothing more than a promise on his lips (kuchi saki otoko). And THAT is the real Barack Obama. Not only that, there are now doubts swirling over the fact of whether he was even born in Hawaii or not, which would affect his eligibility to be President of the United States. His big plan for a "Green New Deal" is just a big trap, he is also trying to cook the books to prop up the US dollar...") (it goes on and on). (End of Translation)
This Japanese book is not a major seller I must say (it is a paperback--but then most heavy selling books are paperback for use in crowded trains--and yet this was stunning to see it up displayed where it was in the bookstore on a front (entrance to the store) stand under "Current Events". Six months ago, the same "Obama" table at most Japanese bookstores would have been shamelessly GUSHING over him, uncritically. Now, at this Japanese bookstore in bustling Tokyo, not only did I see that book, but I saw at least three or four more recently written Japanese-language, high profile books critical of Obama, most questioning his leadership, his lack of depth while being good at speeches, and his ability to deliver on all the promises. Others are addressing the big gap in his North Korean policy and actions to date.
More details on this when possible, but putting up for bookmark material on FR initially...
ping!
Whoa.
ping
OBAMAO will be more likely politically shot and destroyed from outside of USA since US MSM are largely owned and under control
This issue seems to be picking up some steam for that matter. I’ve lost track of how many articles and videos I’ve seen on it from just this week!
And now to find out that folks in Japan are asking questions...that’s quite something.
Why am I not surprised.
Anybody who knows the layout of a Japanese bookstore will know what I am talking about.
But it is not too different than an American large bookstore. Big sellers or noteworthy topics right our there in the front, under "Current Topics" as you come in, hear the register. They had bunched a number of Obama books right together. This one was in the center. The other ones are around it were a) new, and b) not flattering generally speaking.
Love Tokyo!
Pretty city and friendly people.
If you remember back during the Clinton years, it seemed that most of the hard-hitting stories on Beezlebubba originated in England or other overseas locales.
Your point is well taken. The libtards may have a hammerlock on the MSM in America, but the Japanese media is a whole different ball game.
And they are just like sharks if they smell blood in the water.
My my my.... this could be great fun.
It sounds like there's a hint of liberalism in this author. No matter, I'm glad people are starting to get a clue about this guy....
Wow. If the worldwide perception becomes that Obama is just paying off Wall Street cronies that got him elected...it would definitely raise a ruckus.
Daijoubu desu yo.
Anything Nihon-related I usually catch anyhow.
Thanks so much for the info. I’m not usually up at this time of day, but I’m glad I am now. This is another example of the Obamanation’s failure. Wasn’t he supposed to “clean up America’s image”?
and most welcome.
yep, in a very general/cultural sense, and at the risk of an overgeneralization, they can pick up from 1000 meters the slightest scent, and lightest whiff of either a) weakness (they disdain) or b) strength (they respect and love)
People these days over here are really getting the weakness, despite their understanding he can give a good speech (which even THAT seems to be eroding...maybe it is the 24/7 pressure that comes from this office he sought)
Yes, that and some anti-China sentiment (which is fine with me) but overall the stunner is the section questioning the origin of this man’s BIRTH.
Beautiful, just beautiful.
What say you, Mr. Soetoro?
It’s refreshing to learn that the international media is not as goo goo eyed about Obama as we’d been lead to believe...that there are some critical thinkers out there...and that people outside of the US aren’t cowed by the Alinsky tactics used to silence anyone who has any questions about his background.
What about the press in Japan generally speaking? What is their overall opinion of Obama...not just on this issue?
