If all past, present, and future leftist, socialistic legislation really can't be either undone or successfully changed to pro-conservative, pro-capitalistic, pro-free market solutions instead by any future non-leftist politicians, then what's the point in even seriously running for any future elections in any political office? "Yea! I'm for conservative this, and for conservative that, but "Cap and Trade", socialized health care, amnesty for illegal immigrants, and any other leftist legislation really can't be stopped, because it's already law and permanently in place forever! But, vote for conservatives, anyways!" That makes sense-not!
When the Republicans regained control of both the House and Senate in 1994 after 50 years of Dem control, how many laws did they reverse, how many federal programs did they eliminate and how many agencies did they close? You could probably count them on one hand. So it really doesn’t matter too much if Republicans take back the House and/or Senate in 2010. It will still be business as usual.
If the democRATS achieve socialized ‘medicine’ then I am quite finished with politics and patriotism.
After that, it won’t matter who wins elections.
The ‘Republicans’ will then support a left-wing government by default.
No one is fighting them, no one is interested in putting up real resistance, so if they do to this country what good commies would do then so be it—I’m done.
The great experiement is over.
If Americans are so dumb, so spoiled, so self-loathing as to let a group of PEOPLE ruin their country then they’ll get what they so richly deserve.
Then I guess we’ll have to figure out something else. Like commitment, caring, work, association, teaching.
See you at the tea party.
