Were they expected somewhere as of a certain date? If so, what date, how long have they been missing?
When was their last contact with anyone? Who was it? Where were they located at the time? Have they ever deviated from a plan in the past? Do they always check in with someone? Did they share their route with anyone?
Answers to these questions would be helpful.

I am glad no harm came to them, but really. Two people go on a vacation, get out of cell phone contact for a few days, and it’s time to fire up the Amber Alert? What’s that about? It makes me want to throw my cell away; there’s no privacy anymore.
