Does FR need a ZOT category? (Vanity)

I have a wee tiny suggestion for Free Republic.
Is it at all possible to have a ZOT category, just as for General chat, or smokey back room?
It would be genuinely nice to have a place where the shame of so many trolls could be put on public display!
Thanks Mods!

We listened to some of those songs when I went to my weaving class in Columbia (MO). I had Anoreth full one of my pieces by stomping on it in the bathtub!

Oh, that is funny!! OTOH if you did it with traditional materials (including aged urine) I see why she did it by foot. *\;-)
But the term "waulking" apparently comes from an Englishman who saw it being done by foot, though usually it was done by hand -- and as a community social event.
In Scotland only the women waulked the tweed, though in Nova Scotia men did also. Back in the 90s we were taught some songs by a Nova Scotian who had joined in in such as a regular activity in his youth. The practice has pretty much died out now, like many other things turned over to machines.
The makeup and history of these songs is fascinating. In a few of them you are quite literally listening to gossip many centuries old.

No urine, no. First, hot water and a bit of colorfast laundry soap, then another tromp with cold water and vinegar.

I'll confirm that. We have their names and what they did (or not), but usually no other information and no idea who they were nor what happened to them.
Sort of reminds one of the graffiti found on the walls of Pompeii.

I have been watching the local fires.
Whats up here? I have not had time to read why the thread is discussing graffiti found on the walls of Pompeii.

Last day of August ping.
Y’all have fires? Pompeii has to do with remembering the piddling (literally) details of the far-off past.

The food there will keep you for the two days until you can return to the surface... *\;-)

I live to far east. Closer to the fire in Yucaipa which is to small to make national news. Tim Conway Jr. was on the radio after I got out of church doing live news coverage of the fires. He sounds just like his dad.
To: ThomasThomas
Are you okay where you are? This fire sounds nasty,, and what I heard from some Californians last summer about how these fires spread (over quite a distance) was not happy news.

Where I am I can’t even smell smoke now. The lack of wind is a big help to the fire fighters.

So do I, but for the next few days, the wind will rule.
So far, two firefighters have died. That’s always sad.

Yes, it is sad. I’m going to need to put some warmer clothes on Frank if he needs to leave the house today. They say it *may* get up to 70.
