Thanks a lot, Democrats
As a good liberal, I am very pleased with what is happening in Sacramento. The crisis is the right ticket to ensure we get our taxes raised, as well as higher gasoline, electricity and water rates. That is why we voted in all those Democrats, and that is why we voted yes on propositions for a $20 billion high-speed train and $6 billion for stem-cell research.
As a result of all the new taxes, we will get all those polluting corporations to move elsewhere. Good riddance! We dont need them because the government will take care of our unions and our unemployed with additional pensions and medical plans and extended welfare payments.
As for Washington, D.C., we like thousand-page congressional bills with trillion-dollar programs, and Congress is finally delivering. Most people dont realize that the main benefit of the stimulus bill is that the government will be replacing the private sector as the main source of employment. Once that happens, we wont have to worry about all the uncertainty brought about by capitalism.
We dont like economic growth because it only leads to more SUVs and more people taking extravagant vacations. We like the cap-and-trade law because it will give the government more resources with which to help us. The government knows what is best for us.
The general public has no clue, but Harvard-educated politicians can figure it all out and make it happen for us.
Jefferson thought that government is best which governs least, but that is wrong, and has to be replaced with the more humane: From each according to their abilities; to each according to their needs.
Government will help us get there. I finally feel the country is headed in the right direction.

EXACTLY...Dems will give us Marxism now...this would be a lot funnier if the sarcasm were not rue...
Nice to see the LIBS FINALLY GETTING FED UP with their own ilk that are destroying everything they touch....we still have a long way to go in TAXIFORNIA.
Nice. The only way the writer got it published was by stating he/she is a liberal up front. The editors probably quit reading there!
What’s funny, but sad at the same time, is so many morons will think he is for government take over and therefore agree with him.
Its FREE its for meeeeee!
Yes, it is quite drippy, but I’d call it sarcasm myself, and good for Diego Cruz.
You’re right. Cynicism not the correct word in this case, it’s sarcasm, which is what I really meant.
The editors can read?
Great, dripping sarcasm!!
It would be funnier if it weren’t happening before our eyes.
However, as those a little smarter than I have stated, we got the government the media sold us.
California has proved that socialism sooner or later runs out of everyone else’s money.
> An excellent letter-to-the-editor in today’s Ventura Co.
> Star. Dripping with cynicism but it gets the message
> across.
I wonder if anybody other than political junkies like us will understand the sarcasm.
My guess is that most 0bama voters will think, “Yes, that’s right. Good for him.”
Very Well Written!
California has proved that socialism sooner or later runs out of everyone elses money.
::::::::
Yes, our state has had it. Economically and demographically done. There is an ole saying that “as California goes, so goes the nation...”
Let’s hope it does not have to go that far.
The kicker is when the libs find out who gets to decide what their NEEDS are!
Sweet!
bttt
[My guess is that most 0bama voters will think, Yes, thats right. Good for him.]
That is probably what the editor thought too, and why the letter was published.
