What is the downside of her publishing pictures of herself with little clothing on a social networking site. Even if it is just friends, or even friends of friends...how far could these pictures go?
What’s on the web is free game for anyone.
"The internet is forever" as they say.
She could wind up with a movie career.
They could easy be copied and pasted elswhere... some people like to photoshop things....
That someone will take her head and place it on another’s undressed body and THAT gets passed around the internet...
...that, and you could get in trouble for encouraging her?
Everywhere.... once it’s on the net, it’s permanently out there. Her friends can copy the images and post them on their own facebooks, and FaceBook itself reserves the right to all media posted there, even after you “delete” it.
every parents worst nightmare
Yes, the internet is forever. Would she want a possible employer to stumble upon these in a few years?
Vewry, very stupid of her. They go on forever. Her grandchildren will be accessing the pictures.
friend me so I can see if they are appropriate..../jk,
Nothing on the Internet is private. She’s made a foolish move. Probably nothing will happen, but there is the opportunity for trouble. Sorry to hear about this.
For one, facebook now owns the copyright of the photos...and can do with them as they please. Potential employers may be able to see them too, depending on her privacy settings.
Also, will need to see the photos to determine guilt... /s
Anything posted on the internet is forever...just like a tattoo...make sure you want it before you do it.
I wouldn’t post anything on the net anymore that is anything of personal nature.
Privacy is gone once you cross the line and it is near impossible to enforce confidentiality.
General rule of thumb...the less you post on the net the better off you will be long-term.
Can you imagine what could happen if we ever elected people even more left than the current mob?
Into the hands of a future employer, a college admissions office, or a stalker, for years ahead. Ask Carrie Prejean!
Why does she have so little self esteem she thinks her “friends” needed to see her body?

Downside:
1. Perverts using her photos.
2. Deep regret for doing something really stupid.
3. Attracting unwanted attention by creeps.
Etc....
Friends and friends of friends can copy the pics to their computer and then post them again on other websites or email them to all their friends.
All anybody has to do is right-click on the picture to pull it off FB and send it around the world. Your daughter is being unwise. She should recall that the Internet is forever, and when she is looking for a job in years to come, foolishness posted on Facebook can come back to haunt her. Many employers look at internet postings to evaluate job candidates, and if they google your daughter’s name and come up with some hot photography, what are the chances they’re going to hire her for any position better than exotic dancer? What seems like harmless fun at 17 can make a 23-year-old job applicant seem very unserious.
