When they arrived, they found at least four people had been shot. Those victims were taken to the hospital. 20-year-old Keyarre Miller died shortly after. The surviving shooting victims are, Echo Latoya Rice, 21, Troy Raynard Alexander, 29, and Tracy Dewayne Andrews, 24.
Witnesses said there was a large party and several people got into an argument, then the violence turned into gunfire.
Police said they took two people into custody, but have not released their names. Investigators blocked off nearly the entire length of Ervin Avenue as they investigated.
Eyewitness News is working to learn more information.
Not what I’d expect from Concord.
Amish
BUMP
(The dash is not silent).
The only violence I’ve seen at the Waffle House is when the waitresses stand five feet from the cooks and yell the order at him.
I don’t know about that. I had a Texas Cheese steak beat the hell out of my arteries, once there.
The problem with beltfed is if you don’t have a fortified position and you have to displace, it’s very awkward.
On the other hand, there are drum fed shotguns widely available not. 20 plus 1 rounds of 00 Buck ready to go.
More gov’t needed on Ervin Ave
One lesser.
WHAT IS WITH THESE AMISH!? Next thing they will be putting spinny wheels and tacky paint jobs on their carriages and driving around listening to incredibly annoying rap sounds! Perhaps they need an Amish president in order to calm theyselfs down.
Whoops I meant to say themselfs...I think.
INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Black Expo representatives said Thursday that a preliminary round of a talent show after which shots were fired during a fight Wednesday night isn't an official event of IBE's Summer Celebration.
Indianapolis police arrested a juvenile in connection with gunfire outside the Indiana Convention Center Wednesday night following a Star Quest talent show.
About 1,500 people were leaving when shots rang out at about 11 p.m., police said.
"Some people said, 'Somebody's got a gun,' and everybody's running every which way trying to get out of there," said witness Clayton Thomas. "It was all starting to get chaotic."
No one was injured, but police were miffed that they didn't know about the event.
"We were not aware of this event," said Sgt. Paul Thompson. "Next Tuesday are the semifinals for this event, and they expect as much as 4,500 people, which is three times that crowd. IMPD is very aware of that and will have the necessary resources on hand to ensure everything's peaceful."
In a news release Thursday morning, IBE President and CEO Tanya Bell said that the talent show becomes an official Summer Celebration event after the preliminary rounds.
"Star Quest is integrated into the Indiana Black Expo Entertainment Hall on Saturday, July 18," Bell said. "Preliminary rounds have been conducted for nearly 30 years throughout the city of Indianapolis. While it is regrettable and we are troubled by the events that occurred last night, this was not an Indiana Black Expo event."
A faith-based patrol unit, led by local churches, and private security at the convention center supplement nearly 500 police officers who try to keep the peace during Summer Celebration.
It’s people like that who give everyone that enjoys an occasional massive street fight at 4 A.M. a bad name.
I lol'd
Those Amish are a hoot. They know how to party down.
So there is a giant fight with 150 people on a public street and the police know nothing until someone calls? What happens if no one complains? Are the police sitting at the cop shop reading magazines and playing cards?
Obviously NC needs stricter gun control, so it will be as safe as Detroit, Chicago, or Washington DC.

Morale to these stories? Stay out of Amish Waffle Houses. Don’t throw waffles at Amish waitresses with unhelpful attitudes.
