Well I want to fire some folks starting at the top of both management and labor.
Shareholder meeting? You don’t get it. We’re not the shareholders. Barack Obama is the shareholder. And he doesn’t need a meeting. He just calls them up and tells them what to do.
How about our checks coming in the mail?
It’ll be a closed meeting in Rahm’s office....
Our first shareholder meeting is in early November, 2012.
Do I get a free oil change ?
Wouldn’t it be hilarious to see Major Garrett ask Baghdad Bob Gibbs that question?
Can we sell our shares if we don’t trust management??
Pray for America
I don’t suppose that, as a shareholder, I can demand that my record of car purchases from GM be destroyed so that 0 doesn’t get hold of that information?
The premise of the article is not true. If it were true, Senator Alexander’s program would have been implemented.
That is, every person who paid, that is actually filed a tax return, would be issued the actual shares. The taxpayers would actually own and hold the shares that could be held or sold on the market.
As it is now, a government bureaucrat effectively owns and votes the shares. Taxpayers have no say at all in the matter.
To say taxpayers own the company is yet another big lie by the criminal enterprise that is the Democrat party
The Democrats must be destroyed
[Wouldn’t it be fun to show up at shareholder meetings though? ]
I don’t see why not. And do the employees and union now fall under the Hatch Act?
Will Gettlefinger be our next Commerce Czar?
I think we’re gonna have a shareholders meeting....on the Elipse...in front of the White House...we can make sure the President, Vice-President, Speaker of the House ..and the Senate Majority and Senate Minority Leaders will sit down at a desk outside....and have a meeting with their shareholders..../s
Leftist political thinking in action. It’ll probably fail, too.
We don’t own any part of GM. We have no say over how GM is run - that’s for our idiot politicians and bureaucrats to decide. And we have no share of the profits.
Don’t waste your time looking for a dividend check in the mail.
It will be “fun” to watch the legislation pour out of Washington as consumers refuse to buy the motorized roller skates Hussein Motors will build. Trucks will be effectively banned, except as “work necessary” vehicles. And SUV’s? See ya later. Naturally the big black suburbans will still be carrying around the IMPORTANT people in the country. Can’t expose Hussein to the dangers of one of his own vehicles, God knows.
Does that mean I can get a stubstantial stockholder deal on my next purchase?
As a supposed share holder in GM and Chrysler I will vote my shares by never ever buying any vehicle that has anything what so ever to do with unions.
