I think we’re gonna have a shareholders meeting....on the Elipse...in front of the White House...we can make sure the President, Vice-President, Speaker of the House ..and the Senate Majority and Senate Minority Leaders will sit down at a desk outside....and have a meeting with their shareholders..../s

Leftist political thinking in action. It’ll probably fail, too.

We don’t own any part of GM. We have no say over how GM is run - that’s for our idiot politicians and bureaucrats to decide. And we have no share of the profits.

So, why did you allow Obama to use your money to buy his power?

By “you” I mean “we” - of course?

Don’t waste your time looking for a dividend check in the mail.

It will be “fun” to watch the legislation pour out of Washington as consumers refuse to buy the motorized roller skates Hussein Motors will build. Trucks will be effectively banned, except as “work necessary” vehicles. And SUV’s? See ya later. Naturally the big black suburbans will still be carrying around the IMPORTANT people in the country. Can’t expose Hussein to the dangers of one of his own vehicles, God knows.

Does that mean I can get a stubstantial stockholder deal on my next purchase?

As a supposed share holder in GM and Chrysler I will vote my shares by never ever buying any vehicle that has anything what so ever to do with unions.

Look at the bright side.
You are helping fund the $3200/month pension and silver plated benefits for 50 yr old UAW retirees.
Maybe the Baraqqis will give each of us the name and address of our UAW beneficiary so we can send them a Christmas card.

On buying a Ford... I really like some of the current Ford product line. I won't be in the market for a couple of years - at least - but Ford quality is exceptional, by all accounts now. In all likelihood, you'd be hard pressed to make that claim about GM products...either before the government took them over, or after.

But Ford products are built by UAW union autoworkers...

1. The same union "at work" in GM and Dodge/Chrysler manufacturing plants.

2. The same union that just gave Democrats millions of $$$ to defeat Republican candidates.

3. The same union that - either by free will or coercion - will make the same financial contributions to Democrats in every election going forward.

4. Unless I can find a way to buy Ford products that doesn't help the UAW finance economically insane Democrats, I'll be buying cars made in the southern manufacturing plants of "foreign" car companies.

Bottom line.

That comes to $757,575.76 per job saved. A little pricy if you ask me, but we are talking about union jobs here.

He's looking at this all wrong.

Not only were 66,000 jobs saved, so were 66,000 Democrat union votes, and 66,000 union dues being funneled to Democrat politicians.

A three-fer.

It was a rhetorical question. I don’t actually expect Government Motors to even consider me a legitimate shareholder. Perhaps I should have used scare quotes around “shareholder.”

The truly asinine thing is that the Democrats consider you a share holder even though they hold all the votes. In their arrogance they are superior to you or I to select directors to assure good corporate governance. They know that since they are in power, the voters must be an ignorant lot and not to be trusted where money is involved

Sort of like the way Communist dictatorships are called People’s Republics, government schools are called public schools, and so on.

Good question, but it begs another, more troubling one: as GM sales continue to sink, how long till they generate a list of folks who DO NOT purchase a GM car?

Best to just not talk about this. Congress would just claim the right to represent the public shareholders, and we know what direction Barney Frank and his ilk would take the company. Don’t give them any ideas!

I second this 100%!

I am on a mission to bankrupt all labor unions now!
