CHESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A woman accused of keeping 150 cats in her New Jersey mansion has been ordered to pay more than $35,000 in fines and restitution. Wanda Oughton pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of animal cruelty for failing to provide adequate shelter. The judge in Chester Township Municipal Court also told the 62-year-old she's not allowed to own more than six cats over the next three years.

My sister and I used to have an agreement when we were youngsters that if we were both alone when we were ‘old’ (like 40, LOL!) we’d buy a Victorian house on a corner and have a ton of cats and convince the neighbor kids that we were witches.
I bought and restored a Victorian about 18 years ago. I don’t wanna do that ever again, LOL!

I mean seriously, this is one crazy cat lady. She actually had a house built for the cats, complete with screened porch and electricity. It’s as least as big as the tool shed/shop hubby is building for himself, and that’s at least 100sf.

Even hubby is laughing at that post. Most especially since he was the one too go downstairs to find out why the dog was going bonkers. It seems the crazy cat lady had an escapee and she was trying to get it back to her side of the road (I think I feed mine better than feeds hers)
Cinderella (the dog) always knows when one of “those” cats shows up here. Cinder is very proprietary about HER cats. LOL!!!
She’s gonna have to sell some of her cats to come up with that fine money.
They have a Cat Kennel a few towns over that sounds like your neighbors place. That kennel is more luxurious than the Hilton, and every bit as pricey!
I’m ‘The Crazy Dog Lady’ this weekend; we’re watching TWO other dogs for Husband’s brothers on top of our two. The cats haven’t been seen since about noon today...
So far no bloodshed; just a bit of the raised hackles and some snarling. It’s really no different than if I were watching their kids versus their dogs, LOL!
I think I’m going to give everyone a little ‘doggy downer’ in a chunk of sausage and call it a night! :)
And everyone knows there is a huge market for grown cats!

I’ve already taken my mommy downer, aka benedryl, and am fading fast at the keyboard, so I am also calling it a night.
Tomorrow morning I have to make my famous black bean and corn salad for a BBQ and my even more famous pinwheels for coffee hour for church on Sunday.
