Also, SyFy is running last season's Eureka shows, tonight at 8 PM ET and starting tomorrow AM at 8 ET.
ping
As someone who regularly survives the Most Dangerous Night on Television, I also wonder why the change. Is it all the Ghost Hunter BS or something to do with wrestling?
parsy, who likes Moonlight.
Thanks Non
BTW, why am I not on this ping list?
I write stories on my http://libertyfic.proboards.com and your all invited to peruse. Check out VISION on the Ongoing Stories section I just created.
SyFy sounds sissyfyed
It’s part of the dumbing down of the U.S. - any spelling goes!
They rebranded it SyFy because they found out you couldn’t trademark SciFi and they wanted to be able to protect themselves hijacking like the smut industry did when they labeled movies XXX. It’s a silly name they chose, but the exercise itself makes sense, especially as they branch out into book publishing and other external ventures. Having an unprotected trademark is dangerous stuff.
Probably because morons kept calling it “Skiffy”.

Still chuckling about Warehouse 13...likely to bring more tourists to South Dakota.
Well, among other things, they seem to be having HUGE website issues cause they changed their domain name...
But, from TV Guide, I think there’s new episodes of Eureka on Friday at 9 on ‘SyFy’, Primeval on Sat. at 9 on BBC America, Merlin on 8 followed by some ‘Meteor’ thing at 9 on NBC on Sunday, Warehouse 13 on SyFy on Tuesday at 9, and that’s it for the next week...
I haven’t seen Warehouse 13, it looks like it could be fun (although my definition of ‘fun’ includes stuff that you watch because there are cool explosions or neat special effects) but I’m going to check it out on Hulu if it ever loads.
It looks like someone took the last scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and made it into a show.
Whatever the genesis, I thought it was interesting and might have promise.
I am still not ready to accept SciFi as the name for 'science fiction'. Still looking forward to Caprica.
I wish the new SyFy channel would start showing the old Doctor Who shows from the begining. Here’s the very first episode:
I liked Warehouse 13 and the start of Eureka was good.
