Just saw on the local news. We now have the amount of signatures to repeal this gay law. I am amazed it was this fast. It will be voted out by this state in November. The dems that pushed this will be hemmin and hawwin.

Good news! Now if only the good citizens of Maine can withstand the coming blitzkrieg that's bound to come from the other side until it's time to vote.

I think the insane antics of the left only tend to raise the conservative vote turn out on issues like this. For our side any publicity is good publicity.
Wonder what will happen to the existing "marriages" though.

I grew up near Houlton. If there were queers there, they stayed well hidden.

There are no existing marriages.
because the law that was signed is being put up for referendum in Nov. inplemtation of it is suspended until after elections and it can be voted on. So right now they can't “marry” here until the voice of the people is heard.

There are no existing marriages. Exactly right. But by listening to the Marxist Stream Media you would think so. They keep harping that same-sex "marriage" is now legal in Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire, while none of this is true as of yet.

StandforMarriageMaine.com is downplaying their achieved goal of obtaining enough signatures for the referendum in November in order to “collect[ing] additional signatures as insurance to meet the deadline to qualify” for November’s election.
I would say they need to double the signature number needed to offset the saboteurs who no doubt signed the petition being unqualified to do so, or to disclaim their support for the measure and claim fraud on the petition during an audit. This is a slimy tactic that the homo-fascists know can work, if they can “spoil” enough signatures in the petition to cast doubt on its veracity. StandforMarriageMaine has to overcome this real threat.
