The front, back, and side swards are crispy and going to brown here, due to lack of rain.

I'm having this same argument on another thread. Sanford ran as a family values candidate - Barney Frank runs as a far left liberal, openly gay man living with a younger man - He doesn't run as a member of the Christian Right on a Family Values stance - so he isn't breaking any campaign promises to uphold a set of values. Sanford did.

If you recall, when President Clinton had his infamous affair with Lewinsky and then lied about it, Dems all wanted to forgive and forget because "it was his own business" and we said it wasn't - it was our business because he did it on our dime. Sanford did it on our dime as well and let down a lot of people who believed he stood for the values he claimed.

I am STUNNED that she is stepping down....she should have finished the term she has been elected too......would she quit the presidency when it got too rough?

sanford has a ways to go to catch up with a man who had an illegitimate child on the sly while getting an award for father of the year......all the while cheating on his cancer stricken wife......but sanford seems determined to compete with edwards in the cad department.

A+++

I mentioned last week that there is a Dem City Councilman in town who is buying guns and hoarding ammunition. When the Cops and Dem politicians are hoarding weapons and ammo, you know somethings up.

One of my coworkers is an Obama lover, tree hugging vegetarian. About 6 months ago she came to me and asked if I would be willing to teach her to shoot and advise her on which gun to buy. We found her a used Mossberg shotgun and I gave her lessons. I took her to the range several times such that she is familiar with handguns and shotguns, and she’s now a pretty good shot.

Things are scary, people.

I think all this ties in to the Tea Parties.......which ARE supported by both dems and pubbies......all I can say is that we are fed up with all the TAXES........without any politician using and common sense or even reading the bills they are passing.

It's a fair question.

I guess it makes her VP pick all the more important :)

I have to admit, your sward is prettier than mine if that is a photo of it. If I am lucky I will achieve undulating waves of green grass uncorrupted by weeds as the wind caresses my sward.

not fatal? this was a HUGE misjudgment if she is planning on running for president......I hope she is not, as she DOES have a major contribution to make, but not the presidency. I have had my doubts about her even had she stayed in, but now? She is now a quitter. That would make ONE more thing she has to overcome to raise to higher office. Perhaps as Senator of her state she could get elected if Alaskans still like her, but if she loses that she is in Wasilla forever.

What she can do is END the politics of personal destruction.....if she wants to end it. She can articulate the ideas that conservatives rally around.

I’ve been absent due to getting an A/C repair and my brother, SIL and the two munchkins have been visiting since Wednesday.

I say it was a dumb move on Sarah Palin’s part-either she has bad advisers, or she is really sick of politics.

Kind of hot to have your A/C out isn’t it? I hope you are now enjoying the cool air.

The A/C was fixed on Thursday afternoon-and it was a terrible two days waiting for a stupid little part to come in-we had every fan in the house, including a shop fan running!

no one can possibly definitively state that she is politically dead, or not. most of the threads on it are wishful thinking by dems or the conservative elites who had it in for her from the start.
xsteen and i have already been out shopping for xsbrownie’s bday which is this week, xsboy and his sleepover guests were still zonked when we got back, but i had several messages from my friends saying, please wake our sons up and send them home!
