During last night's "The Curtis Sliwa Show" (Wed., 7/1/09), Curtis announced that he had suspended his longtime producer Frank Morano because of the fact that Frank had a screensaver on his own work computer that had a copy of the ObamaCrimes.com page depicting the alleged "faux" birth certificate of President Obama from the State of Hawaii.
Sliwa said that Frank will be suspended for the rest of the week, or until he removes the screensaver, and he stated that the Citadel lawyers are working with Frank to get him back on the air on the grounds of Free Speech. From what I've gathered by listening to Sliwa's show for months now, it appears that Frank has been a longtime critic of the President for not showing a real vaulted & sequenced copy of his original birth certificate. Curtis calls Frank's screensaver "treasonous".
He spoke about this topic last night (7/1) and is continuing the conversation tonight as well. Curtis can be heard LIVE weekdays via WABC radio in New York from 10 pm - 1 am. He can be heard on WMAL in Washington, DC from 9 pm - 1 am.
Sounds like Curtis may have been dipping into the Obummer Kool-Aid....
Please transfer your comments from the other Curtis Sliwa thread to this one. The other post has been locked by Admin Moderator for having been a double-post (my mistake!). This is the only running and existing thread.
Many thanks!
What did we expect from a grown man in a ridiculous girl scout uniform.
At first, I thought Sliwa swallowed the whole Obama being born in Hawaii story. But as I listened to him over time, he seems to be using the Obama birth certificate issue as a foil to keep the issue alive with over the top absurdity.
He had a great idea, a long time ago, and has been runnin' on empty for decades. Now, he's a Vichy collaborator. How the beret'd have fallen.
I think Sliwa could be playing games...with the leftist heads by appearing he believes the Obama official birth story. For what end I don’t know.
Curtis, you’re giving me a very good reason to turn off your show. I thought I liked you man, but now you’re acting crazy.
That's my point. He brings up the issue all the time, Why if he's so against it? He acts like Obama speaks the truth about his origins but he says absurd things while ridiculing the issue. Some are silly.
I heard Curtis talking about it and I interpreted the ‘suspension’ as showmanship and a good excuse to give the guy the week off for the Fourth of July. Their banter about Obama’s birth certificate seems like two jokesters kidding for effect.
Still, where is Chris Plante, anyway? All the summer substitutions going on, there’s room for Chris!

Yes, One supports exposing Obama and the other defends idiotically that I don't take him to believe what he says.
I heard a second! The motion is approved.
As the husband of a prominent labor and employment attorney I know just enough to be dangerous. Only the state can infringe on your constitutional rights unless there is a special statute like DC has saying you can not be discriminated against for political views...I don’t think New York has this or even applies. Under Title Seven this is not a conflict. Curtis has every right to ask him to remove the screen saver whether he is being a jerk or not regardless of how many times he’s let it stay up. Curtis is a snore so I’m not supporting him but he should have the legal right if I understand correctly.
I am surprised. I thought Sliwa was one of us.
When I was still in Europe, I used WABC online to get
Rush and Kook to Kook AM.
I often listened to Sliwa. I just cant imagine him as an Obot.
Has he jumped the shark, or what?
It not what it appears to be read up thread.
“It not what it appears to be read up thread.”
Yes, I understand. I was re posting from other thread, as requested.
I just did copy/paste.
I think this is EXACTLY like you said, a tongue-in-cheek thing where his producer takes an extended holiday.
Correction: firing = suspension
