We Get It, Gwyneth: America Stinks
deceiver.com ^ | July 1, 2009 | Simon Scowl

Gaunt GOOPmistress Gwyneth Paltrow is at it again! Remember a few years back, when she got in trouble for saying this?

“I love the English lifestyle, it’s not as capitalistic as America. People don’t talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner.

“I like living here because I don’t fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans.”

Yeah, Americans are such dumb savages that they’ve made Gwyneth Paltrow rich enough to live well in any country she chooses. What were you thinking, Americans?

Paltrow, realizing she’d just taken a shot at her own gravy train, then backtracked as well as she could in those 7-inch heels she prefers. She insisted she was misquoted, she was “proud to be an American”, and other lies.

And the way you can tell they were lies is that she just keeps saying this stuff:

Gwyneth Paltrow says Spain has “became a second home.”

“It is so different from the United States. It seemed to have a history, and the buildings are years and years and years old. Here in the United States an old building is about 17 (years old), and over there it’s from 500 B.C., it’s incredible,” she tells the Associated Press.

“Also, the way people live over there. They seem to enjoy life a little bit more,” she continued. “They aren’t running around as much as in New York. They enjoy time with the family. They don’t always have their BlackBerry on.”

“Years and years and years old.” Kind of like her. Physically, anyway.

Let’s make a deal, GOOPy: You stay away from America (or at least New York, which you seem to think is the same thing), and we’ll keep staying away from movie theaters with your name on the marquee.

Well, unless Iron Man’s in it. Iron Man’s awesomeness cancels out Gwyneth Paltrow’s utter unawesomeness. Does England have its own Iron Man? Does Spain? Yeah, okay, but their suits of armor can’t even fly without using a catapult, and the landings son una puta.

The plumbing dates from 500 BC as well -- and in Great Britain, so does the food.

Cheers!

Yes, yes. All those strikes and riots going on right now are just their coy way of showing how enjoyable life is in Europe these days.

Plus the news today about their crime rates going through the roof. I guess that's what happens when only the criminals have guns!

I always love to throw this one at the “Europe is older crowd.” Two of the most recognizable attractions in London are the Parliament building and Big Ben. They were both rebuilt at around 1860. Not exactly new but not as ancient as people think. Thanks to wars and fires many European cities aren't as old as people think.

LOL! I played those things—they were in store-front alcoves.

In one “nice” restaurant in London, we watched two waiters physically fight each other over a platter. It was entertaining, and no one stopped them.

The London Tower may be old; but it’s no TOWER by American standards.

Madame Trusseau’s was fun; but the wax figures couldn’t compare in quality to those in The Hollywood Wax Museum. (But I did like her George Washington.)

The food sucked, and the guys held their cigarettes like girls.

They did, however, have shoes that fit my wide feet. I found out there that I have “European Feet,” and I could buy shoes off of the rack! I did like that part.

Gawd! Now that’s funny, as I was kidding but I did have Lancaster, PA in mind or Inola, OK which has a Mennonite population.

Good for you.

Seen Harrison Ford Lately?

It seems that all actors/actresses of her generation and younger all got their positions because their parents were actors. This girl’s no beauty. She’s been groomed; but she’s no beauty.

The movie Witness was based on the Amish community of Indiana. I think. Then again I suffer the defect of being a man so I could be wrong.

As a native San Diegan (founded 1769), I am amused when people say there is nothing old in America.
Also, we seem to have more ancient natural history than Europe. There is a reason we saw all the cigarette-butt-dropping Europeans at Arches National Park a couple years ago on our family vacation. They don’t have a lot of pristine wilderness and we do. [I’m a little sensitive about the cigarette butts. My kids picked up litter to earn their junior ranger pin, and we discovered that 95% of it was cigarette butts dropped by Gwyneth’s sophisticated European buddies.)

The Anasazi Indians were building communities into cliff faces about the same time Europeans were building castles. However, the Maya pyramids predate the castles by 700 years (and we still can’t figure out how they built them so exacting). The Olmec pyramids predate the castles by 1500 years. Also, the Maya had a concept and a symbol for zero 1200 years before the Europeans.

If the poor dear would just pick up her blackberry and bing a few things, rather than engage herself in meaningless pithy chatter about non-sensical European elitism, she might actually find something useful to discuss around the dinner table.

Yeah, I can imagine if the gov is sending you a check every month, stolen from some poor slob that does think about work and money, you can take it easy and not have to worry about mundane things such as where your next meal is coming from.

"intelligent"

Some of my Brit in-laws are very intelligent, some are not. But they're all steeped in liberal beliefs that make them ignorant on a variety of subjects. One of my in-laws firmly believes that Michael Moore is a great truth-teller. He read Moore's book, or section, concerning the 2000 prez election, and asked me why all those "crimes" were allowed to happen. I rebutted everyone of Moore's more outrageous lies (the scaring off of Black voters in Miami for example was one of the most egregious Moore falsehoods.) I don't know if he believed me, but he obviously had not read any literature contradicting Moore.
