Oh, come on, is it really that bad?
I don’t pay any attention to them.
I’m happy with my PC and don’t seem to have all the problems the MAC users claim I have.
I never understood how some people get so emotionally invested in the type of PC they have. I have both Macs and PCs and could go either way and not shed a tear for the other.
Absolutely right! It’s like a cult with some (not all) posters.
And I say that as someone who is considering getting an iPhone3GS after they work out the overheating problem I saw on another thread.
Look, FRiend, Mac users are among the most defensive group on the planet. Worse than atheists, worse than ACORN, worse even than global warmists!
Are you a fan of the Dilbert comic strip? Do you recall the character “Tina”, the brittle tech writer?
“Tina” is a caricature of the typical Mac aficionado. (And yes, a Mac head could prolly spell “aficionado” correctly.) Harmless, can be fun to “tweak”, but you get what you get when you take the mechanical pencil out of your pocket protector and poke it into that hornet’s nest.
Mind you, Mac users are basically okay; some of my best friends use Macs.
You should have duked it out with Karl Rove when he said two weeks ago that he is a MAC only user since the 1980s.
You’re just jealous. Stuck with a PC? Do something about it.
You have trolled every Apple thread today. I haven’t bothered with you posting history, but I am sure that is a story in itself. You are lucky no one hit the abuse on you today.
Want some cheese with your whine? Or are we just going to bust out in tears? Some folks just need to grow a pair. < /sarcasm>
Ignore the Mac people. They are desperately trying to justify why they paid far too much for their product.
I have an iPhone, and MacBook. Both are good products. I have never ‘ripped’ anyone or felt superior because I have Mac products. It is the same situation with SUV’s, the need for prescription drugs, or any number of topics that routinely gets discussed here on FR. If you don’t like a comment, make a reasonable argument, and move on. Don’t let it bother you.
Who cares? This is a political and policy discussion forum for anyone who hasn’t noticed. Who cares whether someone is using a Mac, a PC, or an Abacus? Really! There are plenty of technical sites and forums where one can discuss the SEX of individual computers. Personally, I still prefer my K & E Zip Stik:-)
Your commentary in red is what introduced the ugly to the most recent Mac thread.
Physician heal thyself.
Dude, YOU are the one hurling insults and invective against a company for leading the pack in doing what their customers want (actually want in practice, not just what they claim they want but don’t follow up on).
I mean really: you rip Apple a new one for not making a new 5+ year battery easily replaceable, yet admittedly haven’t replaced a easily replaceable battery on your own Compaq. Seriously: if you’re not going to replace it when it’s easy on your own computer, why get mad when a company provides the benefits of non-replacability?
You’re trolling. If you don’t like Apple products, don’t buy them.
Windows is good at what it does, backwards compatibility. 99% of the development work in windows is figuring out how stupid programmers and companies have broken some aspect of the system and making work arounds that make the system behave like it used to. Read Raymond Chen for the horror stories. This is also why Windows is such a godawful mess, despite having 10x the brainpower of any company other than google in aggregate.
Apple is not afraid to completely change its APIs and orphan their third party programs. If you're okay with that, it's a much better system.
I have had so much trouble with Vista that I considered a Mac, but I’d have invest in thousands of $ of new software.
Not worth it.
Windows 7, which is due for release this fall, supposedly has solved a lot of the Vista problems.
