It seems like every time I venture into an Apple thread here on FR, it's similar to venturing over into Democratic Underground territory.
Personal attacks abound especially if you start criticizing Apple products or other Apple users for being naive into thinking Apple is everything their clever marketing department represents it to be.
It seems like the Mac ping list alerts the faithful flock to defend Apple to the death and that is when the claws come out and it starts to get ugly.
Ignore the Mac people. They are desperately trying to justify why they paid far too much for their product.
Well, looks like you’ve vented your venom ... feel any better, lol?
I’ve had nothing but good service with AT&T. Oh well, I suppose I’m lucky.
>> Whose not a Mac user? Name them. Now!
And watch a bunch of otherwise decent people sent to reeducation camp? NEVER!!!!
that would be me...I press the power button on my computer, I open up a program and voila!!
My parents discouraged me from ever dating a Mac user.
I'm a life-long PC user. Bought my wife a iMac and after playing with it (her iMac) I sort of liked it for some things. Now I have my own MacBook. I still have my PC and probably always will, but the Mac is very good for somethings - especially multi-media, pictures, music, etc. I see no reason to trash either the Mac or the PC - they both have their place. My two cents with 1 cent change.
Yeah I have no problem with people that use Macs or other Apple products (I own a 1st generation iPod Shuffle and for a crappy mp3 player it is what it is, still nothing like my Sandisk Fuse e260!) but the rabid anti PC mentality they have is disturbing. The irony is they reside on this very site of supposed conservative Republicans/Independants, yet they resemble Democrats remarkably, and their behavior typically resembles the nasty vulgarity you’d see over on Democratic Underground. Just an observation over many years of reading Mac threads.
I have an iPhone, and MacBook. Both are good products. I have never ‘ripped’ anyone or felt superior because I have Mac products. It is the same situation with SUV’s, the need for prescription drugs, or any number of topics that routinely gets discussed here on FR. If you don’t like a comment, make a reasonable argument, and move on. Don’t let it bother you.
Mac users have a tendency to be democrats. The stereotype is sitting in a starbucks, unkempt, unbathed, with an open Macbook.
Who cares? This is a political and policy discussion forum for anyone who hasn’t noticed. Who cares whether someone is using a Mac, a PC, or an Abacus? Really! There are plenty of technical sites and forums where one can discuss the SEX of individual computers. Personally, I still prefer my K & E Zip Stik:-)
I bet Hitler used a Mac. ;~)
>> My parents discouraged me from ever dating a Mac user.
Oh, I’d never DATE one.
Their machines don’t have cooties, but the majority of them have, er, “viruses” themselves...
(For another thing, Mrs. Tick won’t let me date ANYONE, not even PC users.)
You remind me of a certain RINO who once posted to FR, always defending the latest RINO crap, but hyperventilating and spittling about how “rabid” anyone who disagreed with him was.
If you don’t like Apple products, start a thread praising Microsoft, if you can do that with a straight face.
Your commentary in red is what introduced the ugly to the most recent Mac thread.
Physician heal thyself.
LOL, that's a howler. Go tell Rush that. Or, maybe you can get Bill Gates to make a big donation to SarahPAC, lol.
LOL I have that pictures saved and thought about using it.
