Michael Jackson accidentally killed himself while trying to become sick enough to cancel upcoming concerts, a prominent author claims.

Author Gerald Posner, who also writes for The Daily Beast, claims that a top member of the pop singer’s entourage told him that Jackson wanted to cancel several shows without having to pay out his touring company.

Nonsense. Michael Jackson does NOT need a doctor’s note to cancel due to illness.

I have an idea—we can get out of this mess by putting together a play SO BAD that it’s doomed to flop! Make way for...Springtime For Hitler! :)

(great schemes gone awry! thank you Mel Brooks)

Correct. Many stars have canceled appearances because of “the flu” which might mean they were scared. unprepared, drunk, or just felt like doing something else. It’s something that can hurt a reputation, but they can cancel for any reason at all. No need to actually be sick.

Don’t you think that when his people say he’s sick: he’s pale and emaciated, the concert promoter might want a doctor’s note?

Of course all we are hearing unofficially are rumors, and we sure can't escape the 24/7 Jon Stewart media repeating the rumors. But if even a tenth of what I cannot escape is true this guy physically was NOT going to be able to tour anything. And that is NOT even describing his mental condition.

I sure hope there are sane minds that rescue those kids.

I’ve worked in the radio & music businesses for 40 years, and when I heard that Michael Jackson had signed to do 40 concerts in a row in London, I said, “I’ll bet anybody a week’s salary that those shows never take place.” My prediction already started coming true when he postponed the first shows to the end of the run. Granted, I didn’t think he’d take the ultimate escape clause, but I was absolutely certain that there was no way on God’s green Earth that he was ever going to show up and perform those concerts. He was no longer even capable of showing up at the Grammies and doing five minutes.

My friend’s nephew is a West Point Grad stationed in Iraq;
he sent a film of one of the sandstorms. Quite interesting
I experienced one in Libya in 1967. Dating myself

Sharpton and Jesse fighting over who gets to give the eulogy

Of course, a duel eulogy would also cause a fight over who gets to go first.
