The IMPOSSIBLE is happening.
SPAIN..the leading # 1 team in the world, 35 game winning streak, they have shut out opponents in the series...and the soccer world already conceded that SPAIN is SUPPOSED TO WIN..YET HERRE THEY ARE SHOCKING THE FN SOCCER WORLD.
Kiss my ass you America hating soccer fans...
You're sadly mistaken, with a 4.69 40-yard dash speed, any Spanish fly within 10 yards of him would end up looking like a junebug on the windshield of a Kenworth..........
I agree, it's fun.
During the World Cup, whenever I run into foreigners yapping on and on about it (in the NYC area, they're everywhere), I love to say, "That's tennis, right?"
Goofballs lose their minds. I know it's grass hockey.
Sad isn't it, a once noble people reduced to cowardice.
Two 45 minute halves. They also use something rather foreign to most US sports—stoppage time. Basically bonus time that the ref decides to tack on to the end of each half to take into account time wasted to substitutions/injuries.
Usually not more than +4 minutes.

I believe the score is tattooed on her somewhere...or will be soon.
Lacrosse is an up and coming sport that is great fun to watch and play. A lot like soccer with the movement and passing around the field, hockey with the speed and the checking, and even football with numerous “set” plays used on offense.
I think the best hope for the MLS is to remake themselves as essentially a farm system for the big Euro clubs, a place to send the up-and-coming players to get seasoning instead of sitting on the bench. Soccer fans in this country would much rather watch an English Premier League or La Liga game than an MLS game. So if you tie-in MLS clubs with the big boys, I think it would get much more respect. There are some MLS clubs (Real Salt Lake and Chivas USA), that already do this on some level. But how cool would it be to watch Manchester United’s up-and-comers, instead of older players trying to stretch out their careers.
90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Especially girl’s sports like soccer though right?
playing tonight actually...
Watch out for the Three Lions as well. They may finally have a coach who knows how to handle all of those egos.
I think the dislike comes from some people feeling threatened by the popularity and universality of the sport. You can love both American football and football if you are a true sports fan.
Aauugh yes. Those ever enjoyable preppy games. Well, you know... Games are always fun. I mean if you’re not into sports. ;-p
I would not mind trying team handball. That seems like fun.
I do too. The only real time I got involved in watching World Cup soccer was a bunch of years ago when vacationing in Honduras. At the beach front resort we stayed at, they had two outside cabana bars which had many folks glued to the small tv's on site. There's nothing better then watching soccer with real foreign fans who know what is going on and just getting caught up in their own excitement.....
Cheers.
The trouble is there are so many tiers in English League, that all those up-and-comers already play in minor leagues already. Same with Spain though not as deep (La Liga and La Segunda, and maybe one other tier), though I am not sure about Germany or Italy.
To be sure it would be fun to watch MLS as the minors. Like baseball, it is a fairly fun game to see in person, though neither one are fast enough for me to enjoy on a regular basis on TV.
A lot of truth to that.
Uhhhh, how about Detroit? The fireworks are going on tonight so that could be a good excuse..........
