I do too. The only real time I got involved in watching World Cup soccer was a bunch of years ago when vacationing in Honduras. At the beach front resort we stayed at, they had two outside cabana bars which had many folks glued to the small tv's on site. There's nothing better then watching soccer with real foreign fans who know what is going on and just getting caught up in their own excitement.....
I was in Chicago's Greektown when Greece played Portugal in the Euro 2004 Final. When we scored on the corner kick, it was up for grabs. When it was finally over and we won, we went outside and celebrated. The police came over to block traffic because of all the people celebrating in the streets.

So true. I was in Spain when Man U beat Bayern Munich in the champions league final with 2 goals in (I think) the final 5 minutes. Maybe with even less time. Surrounded by English buddies I met there.
Got hooked then, and do follow the scorelines, but I don’t watch many matches except for WC.
