A new analysis of top grossing G-rated children's films from 1990-2005 determined that heterosexuality is not only the norm in such films, but that it is also depicted as being exceptional, powerful, transformative and magical. (Credit: MorgueFile)
Yes. Without Disney, children would never realize that love between a man and woman was normal.
God forbid!
How dare we teach that heterosexual love is normal!!!
(sarcasm)
Really, seems like some gay groups have gone from asking for tolerance (to be “left alone”) to demanding acceptance to, now, doing exactly what they criticized others for - determining for everyone what’s “normal” and what’s not.
I’d say “stuff it” to the PC crowd, but in this context I’m afraid to.
No doubt this “study” was funded by our tax dollars.
Disney can look at how well the liberal TV networks and liberal newspapers, and liberal movies are doing. They’re all going down the road together - and I do mean DOWN...
Add the wonderful movie UP to this category. UP unambiguously celebrates love and marriage while also demonstrating the destructive effects of adults who don’t keep those promises. I’m going to get a Blu-ray machine so I can have this movie in hi def.
now that they’ve been called on this, look for Disney to put out a steady stream of gay-themed releases to get back into the good graces of the Hollywood establishment
I spit on Disney. (Spit)
Of course love between a man and woman is normal.. it doesn’t take a genius to figure that one out. Without it there would be no children!
Heterosexuality being a “norm” would only be a revelation at Disney.
Yes, because before Disney, children all thought that homosexuality was normal.
Frankly, "heterosexuality" as presented by Disney has, in my opinion, led to the high divorce rate in this country, because they make up an idealized and fictional view of "love", suggesting that if you don't feel every day like what you saw in the movies, you aren't really "in love" and you should divorce and move on to something 'better'.
After this article, expect the ACLU to demand there be more queens in The Magic Kingdom.
