What was likely intended as a prank, is not amusing officials on the Iron Range. Police in Virginia say someone climbed up on the city water tower and changed the n on Queen City to an r.
The vandalism was discovered Monday morning.
City officials say the vandalism took some effort, as the entire area is surrounded by barbed wired.
The incident is being treating as a criminal investigation, and the water tower was re-painted a few hours after the discovery.
I know I’m laughing. That’s HILARIOUS!

Oh, aye...It’s been a busy week.
Just thought I’d toss a little much needed light humor into the chat room...
;-)
Last time I drove near Jackson Michigan the sign said birthplace of the Republican Party.
Toronto was the locale early this morning for the Perez Hilton smackdown so it has dibs on the name for the moment.
I imagine the chief of police had a hard time keeping a straight face??
Pray for America
It must be tough being a queen these days, this is a heinous PC crime with special circumstances of using the improper "Q" word, it will most likely carry a life sentence. This is nearly as serious as the "N" word, but more serious than the "F" word. Thank "G", they didn't use one of the "G" words.
I understand that what’s really got them upset is that West Hollywood is now suing the town for trademark infringement over both versions of the water tower.
Yeah...we get that left-coast green-diversity-rainbow crap too....
Oh, dear...I didn’t realize the pic was that huge. Sorry! Happy scrolling!
This weekend was my town’s annual “Pride” (or lack thereof) barf-fest. I need to arrange some kind of counter-parade one of these years.
When did “pride” become synonymous with non-straight, non-vanilla sex?
dang BIG picture
‘...the water tower was re-painted a few hours after the discovery.’
PC America has completely lost its sense of humor.
Queen for a day?
