Shut up, Boone. You’re just wanting federal subsidies for your wind farm plans.

Mr T. Boone, your windfarm is sucking you dry, but please don’t try and sucker us.

There is a difference between doing nothing and being purposely blocked from the correct response. Developing domestic energy is one such example.

Build Nuclear. Build Up the Grid, and put money into battery research and hydrogen research.
Oil price shock was a major factor in the current crisis. It’s insane not to take steps to protect against another one. And it’s insane to bet the farm on unproven, so called green technologies of questionable viability.

Must be working to get Warren Buffett’s oil futures to pay off.
There is nothing WRONG with foreign sourced oil. We are not “empowering evil tyrrants” by buying oil. We are empowering evil tyrrants by saying “it doesn’t matter” rather than throwing them over.
If Hitler had held power just within Germany, would we have been ok with it as long as he had no resources we needed?
PS, India and China and Europe will continue to by oil from Islamic surpemacists in the Middle East.

If it was about “getting off foreign oil” we wouldn’t be denying our nation use of our own oil.

That old windbag has lots of natural gas to sell and the price keeps going down. No one should believe anything T. Bone has to say because he is only trying to restore the millions he lost speculating when $147/bbl. oil crashed last year. He was predicting $200, by the way.
To: TLI
Someone’s taking a bath on wind power I take it. Sucks to be you T Boone.

truth be told, I am glad we have not squandered our natural resources yet. We are going to need them soon, as we rebuild our country from this socialistic society.
If we do our jobs right, we will have someone who can do it right, like Palin, very soon in charge!
To: TLI
And oil could drop to $15 a barrel.
I will be running my car and truck on wood fumes if oil hits $200.

Geez, every time someone says oil will be at $xxx, it gives them the incentive to raise it. If enough people were to say it was going down, I guarantee it will fall faster than a rock.

Legendary oil man T. Boone Pickens says that if the U.S. doesnt take major steps to curb its reliance on foreign oil, the consequences will be drastic.
Who's he effing kidding? The supply of oil is so much greater than the demand that oil companies have nearly run out of storage capacity in leased tankers parked off shore in the north Atlantic!

Very true, I’m told there are over a trillion recoverable barrels in shale, with another trillion in Canadian oil sands, more than enough to carry us through to make solar (the true end all of electricity generation) a reality, along with the battery research required to leverage it.

Lets say in 10 years, you do nothing, You will be importing 75 percent of your oil and youll be paying $300 a barrel. If 51% voted for McCain/Palin you'd be paying $5 a barrel by then you dopes!
