My uncle gave me a copy of "Walk Don't Run" with the girl in "capri's" on the cover. I have always loved that surf guitar sound and always will...
The album came with sheet music for the songs.
I always compare the quality of music to its longevity. The 50’s and 60’s from surf to rock still rolls on in popularity..........I loved the Ventures!

It is with profound sadness and grief that we must inform Ventures’ fans all over the world that Bob Bogle passed away on Sunday, June 14. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob’s family at this terrible time, especially his beloved wife, Yumi, who has been the light of his life for so many years. The Ventures’ members are completely devasted, and share the pain of this loss with all our friends and fans. As more information becomes available, it will be posted here, and we hope to set up a section on this site for messages from those who wish to post them.
The music world has lost a true original and an innovator - may all our wonderful memories console us.
Funeral Services for Bob Bogle

Funeral arrangements have been made for Bob Bogle, and the services will be held on Friday, June 19, at 12.30 p.m. The address is: Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 1101 NE 112th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98684. This will be a closed casket ceremony, for family and friends - others mourners are welcome.
We have received so many e-mails from fans so we have decided to arrange a tribute page on the website, and will post the messages shortly. We thank everyone for their condolences, prayers and kind words at this very sad time.
