I am habitually late to the latest technology. I just got an HDTV 2 months ago. I am ready to throw it in the ocean because some people are just too ugly to be seen in Hi Def...but I digress...
I was embarrassed that everyone else had heard of e-cigarettes before I did and I'm supposed to be the nanny state guy on FR (let me just throw myself on the mercy of the court like Jim Baker and say "I'm sorry, I have sinned!")
It would be nice to stick it to the man and at least pretend to smoke anywhere while getting my nicotine.
So I ordered them to try it out. I bought them from NJOY for no other reason than their owner was in the news and seemed willing to fight the entrenched powers (tobacco control, big Pharma, big Tobacco) in public and I liked his style. I have no interest in pimping a product.
It came in a nice package with all of the responsible disclaimers that you would expect when you know that the fetid breath of gubmint will soon be breathing down your neck....not for kids, nicotine is addictive, for current smokers.
Readers Digest version:
Cons: I don't get the same nicotine buzz I get from the Ultra Light tobacco cigarette I normally smoke.
Pros: I can smoke them in my office, they don't stink and I don't feel like taking a cigarette break all day.
Conclusion: I'm not sure if nico-Nazis and grant junkies need to be concerned that this will cause everyone to quit tobacco completely and force them to get a real job befitting someone of their skills like being a supermarket deli meat slicer.
There was a guy selling 48 mg very briefly on the e-cig forum.
Will do. Thanks.
"This item is out of stock - please check out our other products"
18 is plenty. 12 is just fine.
NJOY says they are made in China, but tested and slapped with a US flag in the USA. FWIW. That’s why I bought from them.
I don’t think your son is going to drop dead from Marlboro Lights, but if he switches to this he will be better off.
There was a thread here a couple of days ago statin that Sen. Lautenberg (D-NJ) wants the FDA to regulate e-cigs.
That was my thread.
You get your smoking liquid from totallywicked?
I couldn’t find the RY4 flavoring.
What is NJOY?
Thanks! :)
NJOY?
That’s the company I order from. Mixed reviews. Their cartridges apparently don’t last as long as others. I’ve had problems with their batteries.
I just liked the attitude of the owner.
What does NJOY stand for?
Nothing. Just a name I guess, playing on the word enjoy.
It’s probably not even the best one. I like them. They seem reputable and their customer service is pretty good. I’ve read some complaints about their customer service on different forums. They got back to me right away. Maybe because I’ve spent over a $1,000 there in the last month buying their products for friends, coworkers, friends in the office building who I met while being relegated to the freezing cold and rain.
Go to the e-cig forum if you really want to get an idea of the best brand. I’m not here to pimp a product.
All I know is, this electronic cigarette is great. I love it.
It takes some getting used to BTW. As you can see from my initial review here.
You go through a process where at first it’s not quite exactly the same and than you get to a point after about 2 weeks where you really prefer it over a carbon monoxide filled tobacco cigarette.
Right now, the only time I can even stomach a tobacco cigarette is if I’m piss drunk. I had a couple at my cousin’s bachelor party on Saturday. That was it for the last few weeks.
I just got some liquid nicotine from totallywicked in today and I am trying it.
I'm having a problem of when I inhale, the vapor makes me cough really badly. You have that or know of someone who has had that problem with e-cigarette? I am hoping that it passes.
This has to work for me. I need to quit smoking. I haven't had the confidence yet to go totally e-cig...well, that and the coughing/irritation.
