The skeeters are so thick you can't breath unless you keep moving. Not many critters out, except during twilight hours. I got these shots just rambling around yesterday.

Beautiful. I can see why you have the skeeters, though, all that moisture. Where I live, in the desert, it gets so hot the skeeters burst into flames when they fly.
Going to be a while before the buttonbush around here bloom. I used to cut them down but they seem pretty good at holding the shoreline erosion at bay.
I don’t know where you are. But the Marines sent me on a training exercise in Minnesota onc summer. The issued me a head net that looked like something a beekeeper would wear. I didnt “get it” until i was out there in a Minnesota swamp.
Ive never seen anything like Minnesota mosquitos. Undersides of every leaf black with mosquitos, constant humming like you were hearing an electric cable. And they say ANWR is worse. Incomprehensible to me.
This one is right on a creek bank, they like wet feet for sure.
Glad to see these great pictures.
Did I miss a few days or have you been away, or I hope it was not, feeling poorly?
Very hot here since all the rain stopped and I have been indoors myself. Short swim, sit and read, short swim....repeat over and over! LOL
I’ve been around, just haven’t been getting many pictures.
Glad to hear you are OK.
The yellow flower is a bright addition to the room as a desktop. I love the birds I have had in the past too.
I missed you the past couple of days.
I hope you are OK.
Your pictures are wonderful.
Thanks so much.
Beautiful pics, thanks!
Beautiful pictures SS.
I have been thinking about you for the last week or so. We have found a hummer nest just behind our house, and Mr G has been working on getting pictures for me.
I would post them, but am clueless about posting photos. So, since dennisw put them up on another thread, I will just post a link.

Beautiful work. What lens did you use?
Bart.
I trust you are a fan of Ansel Adams. I am.
Bart.
Yep. Sure am.
